The Tennessee Titans have such an extreme absence of quality quarterback play over the past 25 years that Tannehill's tenure is probably the second best Titans tenure over that period. Good for him, bad for the franchise. It was bad the he played for the Titans. I really remember how I felt @KC '19, I thought here we go to start the second half. They stopped Henry, But we got Tannehill. Tannehill did nothing. '20 nothing. '21 Tannehill played his ass off to get us #1 seed. Playoffs poop. It is what it is. Tannehill could stand on his spot and throw a beautiful ball. He was an ironman. {{THINK}} Josh Allen-What pct of what Josh does could Tannehill do to bring his team back if they were down. You don't need to go to Pro Fantasy Football to drag up .024 this, .037 that. Just watch Josh play. Remind me all the times Tanny did any of that. Tannehill was part of a team. Very Good QB. You degrade what he was by trying to make him something he wasn't. It's like saying what he was wasn't enough.

About 7 PPG if I remember correctly. No it didn't, not having Lewan and playing 5 different LTs and not having AJ Brown hurt the offense. LOL @ not having a 2 down RB. Henry didn't even play on passing downs, which is over half the downs This is utterly ridiculous and a simple minded fan boy take Next you'll be saying the Ravens need to lean on Henry or how Henry effects defenses for the Ravens IsntLifeFunny, and rns90 1
scine09
I was thinking about Vrabel. To me one of three things happened. At least one has to be true: 1. He trusts Maye more than he trusts Tannehill and in turn that's why he would not open up the offense. Last week, with the Browns teeing off on Maye and the game seemingly out of reach, he had Maye throwing a lot more than he ever would let Tannehill throw in blowouts. Remember the Baltimore playoff game wen they threw I believe four passes in the second half? Or that KC game in 2021 when they barely threw in the second half? Everyone would say that Vrabel went into a shell in the second half. He hasn't done that at all in NE. Last week I almost thought it was reckless to let him keep throwing, the way that Myles Garrett was dominating. Also, don't give me the nonsense that he only operated like that because of Henry. The offense was the same the year when Lewis was the feature back before Henry took over and it was the same the year that Henry Henry got hurt. 2. He's changed. Maybe he understands that to win in this league you need to throw to win. 3. He is not involved in the offense in NE like he was in TN. Maybe he's just letting McDaniels operate the offense the way that he wants and staying out of the way. Which would blend into number two, that he's changed. I don't believe that four offensive coordinators in Tennessee all magically had the same offensive philisophy. Vrabel told them all what to do. Maybe he's stopped doing that. I think it's most likely that it's number one. A guy like Vrabel doesn't change. I think he literally just did not trust Tannehill (or Mariota before him). It made him look like a conservative coach, the same coach that he does not look like now. He was literally coaching to his talent. Whether you agree with his philosophy or not with the Titans, unless you actually think he's changed his thought process or is willing to let the OC dictate the offense then that's the reality of the situation. He thought Tannehill (and Mariota/Gabbert/Dobbs/Willis/Levis) were at their best throwing less than more. He does not feel the same with Maye. I think he likely looked back and the playoff failures and had to see what went wrong. You can't win in the postseason being that conservative. No, fuck Vrabel BTW, people need to calm down. The Pats have had historically the easiest schedule and they have struggled in a lot of those games. They are set up to possibly be blown right out of the playoffs. oldschool, and rns90

It's pretty basic that a LT and elite WR is worth ten times more than a 2 down RB.... 7 points per game for Henry lol

The offense scored 7 less points without Henry in the game. Deal with it. The discussion started with Callidus talking about when Henry went down. That's how it started. Keep up oldie. Popular Post scine09
Derrick Henry's been healthy every week this year. Lamar Jackson has not. The fact is with Henry and a spare QB the offense has looked terrible. Henry is not a difference maker. And if we're being honest with ourselves if the Titans coaches had taken that approach in playoff games maybe they'd have gotten to a Super Bowl or at least won certain playoff games more comfortably than they did. The guy was/probably still is great at what he does. No one is denying that. But he also has very little impact on the results of the game. Anyone remember the game that Henry had a huge game against the Texans in 2022 with Malik Willis playing and Vrabel was going crazy in the lockerroom after the game about how the Titans were better off than the other teams because they had Henry and the other 31 teams did not? The Titans beat a trrible Texans team 17-10 that day. Obviously hey had to feature Henry more than other days because of Willis playing but when that's how you play, even when Henry's at the top of his game, the game will be in doubt until the end. Even if your team is significantly better than that of the opponent. rns90, IsntLifeFunny, OILERMAN, and 2 others 3 1

IsntLifeFunny
Anyone acting like Henry didn't affect defenses in 2021 is either lying to themselves or has an agenda. No one said he could carry an offense without a QB. That's retarded. titanruss, and Jamalisms
