I might be overestimating their need, but neither Hunt or Pacheco are anyone's idea of a bell cow. And either he's not built to be one or they don't trust him enough yet, but Brashard Smith has only gotten meaningful touches in the passing game.

He hurt his quad near the end of the Cardinals game there is no need to overthink things when all the other guys mentioned as potential trade targets are still playing and are not being held out.

I was thinking maybe they faked the sneed injury so they could trade him for a backup kicker.

No idea why some fans think this team cooked up an elaborate plan to pull Key from the Cardinals game announce to the media he was questionable to return with a quad injury then later rule him out, then after all that have him sit out of practice and games for the next couple of weeks before trading him.

 

If he was healthy he would be playing.

 

Key was sighted doing a light workout on the third field today so would imagine he is being ramped up to return to practice hopefully next week.

He isnt even the best edge trade piece we have right now. Ward is the productive one. I could see any of ward, key or jones being traded though since they all have distinct styles that could match one team or another. 

 

Hell, trade all 3 for all i care. Snap up any edge off a practice squad under 25 that you think could be worth a live action tryout at this point.

From what I’ve seen, Jihaad Ward has many of the physical characteristics Borgonzi is looking for.. But are we moving back to a 4-3, and does he and Oladejo fit that?

Depends on who the HC is. If we went Saleh, we would definitely just go to a sole version of a 4-3 base against heavier formations. 
 

As to being a Borg type, I don’t think it matters as much because he is already 31 years old. He shouldn’t factor into the long term planning.

He wasn't the only one have seen a few fans suggest Key isn't really injured and they are just stashing him to trade him.

Jones did absolutely nothing for 5 weeks then out of nowhere has had 8 pressures and 2 sacks the last two games and could of been more as penalties wiped out 2 sacks.
