Im keeping an eye on Justin Jefferson, TJ Watt and Patrick Surtain. Could be nice adds.

They must all be great run blockers.

In preseason Week 1 he was the only quarterback with a QBR lower than Tim Boyles 😂

He had a lot of love here on this board amongst the trade down group

I just read that only players with fewer than four years of experience go through waivers.  So players like Autry wouldn't qualify.

However, when players like Autry are released there's probably a good reason for it.

correct, vets don’t go through waivers until after the trade deadline

He was a bust last year, he’s 35, and they could save cap space. They clearly decided he didn’t look good enough to keep this year.

He may still sign (after week 1?) but he’s probably looking at a minimum deal.

Never liked McCord. He held back that Ohio State team terribly the season before last.  Also, there is no bigger fan of Autry than me but he might be washed.

The funny thing is they renegotiated Autry’s contract in March and gave him a new signing bonus. They weren’t planning to release him. They must have decided he was not worth a roster spot anymore.

They've been drafting really well the last few years. I wouldn't be shocked if they found someone that was a better value. Autry's PFF grade for last season was pretty bad and even though that's not the be all end all, you'd expect better with so many dogs on that defense making his job easier. Hard to say without actually watching the tape which I haven't.

I listed to Texans sportsradio 610 for a couple of hours Saturday before the game....they were going back and forth the entire time about who they were going to be forced to release on the DL. They have so much talent there. The Texans are totally loaded on defense.

We are definitely going to be poaching off good teams on the waiver wire.  I’ll be shocked if we don’t add any KC guys.

It all depends on who they waive that’s worth anything. The Chiefs don’t necessarily have a bunch of good young depth looking to hit the waiver wire.

Jason Brownlee if you are looking for a WR with a high RAS score and a red zone weapon .

Joshua Williams at CB who also has ST ability and has played snaps on defense.
