I try to forget how many of you are nerds on here.....

The nickname/slogan stuff is incredibly lame and I've never seen a local fanbase so intent on having one for GM's like JGod or Let Ran Cook or Billy Jeans, Tickle monster shit.

JGod , yikes did @tgo make that one up? What is Billy Jeans referring to?

Yeah. That’s kind of the joke. It’s supposed to be dumb. At least to me.

You can throw #TitanUp in there too.

Tennesee tough / Nashville strong... these are stupid phrases that almost every city and state in the USA has used at some point to masturbate about recovewring from some small / irrelevant to the rest of the world disaster. They are valuable to tshirt salesmen as a easy and swapable phrase for anywhere to use as needed.

Those are dumb.

TitanUp is at least a double entendre, makes sense in context, and is unique to us.

Billy Jeans was a great nickname. Bobby Trees was solid too. Simple, ceative, funny, used sparingly, they are fine.

I thought those were 2 of the worst ones and seemed forced.

Billy Jeans was the worst one! That one is actual cringe lol

Yeah, cringe in a funny way. No one is walking around saying "How many TDs will Billy Jeans throw this week?!?!"

More like when he actually does throw a TD in a blowout, people in the bar drunkedly laugh/yell it.

@BudsOilers

Its only forced if you use it forcefully. Using it with some silliness is pretty obvious to me what was intended.

Talking nostalgically about "Billy Jeans" yeah... just weird.

Shouting it drunkedly with some friends after a score during a blowout loss.. works.

It aint going on a headstone.

Your sense of humor is from the 1950s. Of course you don't buy it.

Not anything close to that - try Carlin, Tosh, Jeselnik, Louis CK, Chapelle....but that's not the point.

The fan base consistently tries to force these bad, unfunny, and stupid catch phrases or nicknames.  More so than I've seen in any other market.  It's stupid but then again a good portion of the fan base are morons.
