Shit, if only I could be alpha like Righteous.

Vrabel magically turned into a good coach the week Tannehill stepped in as the starter. The team was 2-4 before that. Vrabel had a losing record before that.    Anyone that watched camp and

Uh, the Titans were 6-18 in Vrabel's last 24 games   The decline started before Callahan got here

Mike Vrabel basically owes Ryan Tannehill everything

You're not wrong but given our talent level without Tannehill that 14-21 doesn't look all that bad. Should've been 0-35. We've REALLY sucked the last few years.

I've been saying Mike Vrabel is Jeff Fisher 2.0 for years, and as the years have gone on, I have been proven right about that. I believe I will be proven right in the future, too.

lol you don't really believe that.  Even the bad teams win games.  This Titans team hasn't been good but they haven't been on THAT level.

I'm being hyperbolic but honestly not as hyperbolic as you think. This roster has been putrid. We improved the talent on the roster massively from Vrabel's last year to this past season and still went 3-14. I don't think many here ever truly came to grips with just how bad we were Vrabel's last year here which is why most scoffed at pre-season prognostications of us ending up with the #1 pick while a few understood it was entirely possible. That 2023-2024 team was damn near 2014 levels of bad and I'm not exaggerating about that at all.

It's probably the second worst if not the 3rd worst team the Titans have had in Nashville.  I would argue that the 2005 team might have been worse than this year but it's semantics.  The 2014 team was definitely worse.  It doesn't matter now.  Hopefully they've reached the bottom.

BTW such record splits are not uncommon.   Coaches win with good QB play and lose more than not without it.

Where the retards have a problem swallowing it is acknowledging that Tannehill was a good QB more so than Vrabel was some super-coach.

BTW that non-Tannehill split for Vrabel after 2018 was 6-14 (30% win %).

With Joe Philbin and Adam Gase as the HC's :)

Vrabel had Mariota, Willis and Levis at QB.

It's almost like ... you didn't mention it (or Tanny's stats in those favored, higher seed playoff losses) for a reason.

LOL

Yeah those 2 tipped pass INT's vs the Bengals and the receiver falling down on while the ball in was in the air were totally on Tannehill.......

Defending Vrabel on the playoff losses to Baltimore and Cincinnati is one of your dumber takes and that's a bold statement.

Mularkey had Mariota play better for him than he ever did for Vrabel FWIW

That’s the stupid thing these guys who trash Mularkey for Mariota never get (or mention ).

The guy was sub replacement level for every other coach.

Defending Vrabel? No. Pointing out the idea Tannehill made him is laughable, considering it's the same exact window of shared success surrounded by failure outside of the window without one another.

But you're Tannestan-central and think he played just fine against the Bengals, so ... the inability to grasp the subject is unsurprising.

LOL I'm grasping it just fine.

I know 2 things.   Vrabel had nothing to do with Tannehill's play, which dullards consistently credit him with.  Secondly, unlike you I can look at an All 22 and correctly assign praise or blame.  Those tipped ball picks and the one against Baltimore were not on the QB.

Tannehill did not his best game vs Cincy - he missed a wide open AJB that would have been a TD.  That said, he did not play nearly as bad as you idiots and the media claimed.

As for Vrabel, neither he nor Quiver Chins ever showed the ability to scout or coach QB's.  Based on the choices Vrabel did have input on, safe to say those guys never would have seen extensions in TEN.  So yeah, Tannehill in some ways did "make them" and as we all know Tannehill initiated the move to TEN because he, unlike Robinson, knew Mariota sucked.
