Titans QB of the Future: 2024 Edition

I think you trade for Young only if it's a situation where Carolina has absolutely determined they are moving on and are in a position to draft Cam Ward.

I wouldn't move off more than a late 5th

He's ball placement accurate and throws with anticipation.  Probably the most mechanically sound QB coming out.

I don't know how anyone could watch the first half of that Texas/Georgia game and think geez I hope the Titans draft Carson Beck, the last thing this needs to do is waste more draft capital on a bum Q

I doubt any teams are worried about Deon's threats

That's about what I posted.  They want to draft a QB.

Btw, spotrac has Darnold's AAV at 32M.  I don't see the Titans competing in that market or anywhere close to it.

If he is north of 20ish I dont see us going for him. We have to many holes ro fill.

We have 50-60 to spend atm, take out 10-12 for the draft class. That puts us in a situation where we cant just throw money at an expensive bridge.

I'm just not sure you would look at Darnold as a bridge QB.  He'd be 28, coming off what's on pace to be a good season on a playoff team, and would likely warrant some level of a commitment.

Yeah no. Any team signing Darnold this offseason is signing him to be the franchise starter.

I think Carolina, Tennessee, New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams, and New Orleans are all possibilities

He had a pretty bad game vs the Jags but he played well vs the Titans last week.  I was pretty impressed.  That said, yeah you need to see how the rest of the season plays out for sure.

The Jets/Panthers dysfunction also helps his cause some IMO.

I was pretty impressed last week. He's had some bad games this year but has generally been really good. I worry about the turnovers but it'd clearance Titans fans assume he's the guy who played for the Jets years ago. I would still have reservations paying him off one good year but he fits the scheme. I could see a 3 year deal similar to what the Giants gave Jones a few years ago.
