The state of TN is currently sitting on a rainy day fund of $2B and turns down 100-200M of federal funidng a year, their commitment to the stadium is pretty minor in the grand scope of the state's financials.

Amy is about to have serious heat turned her way when, not if, the ticket sales do not make it. & again whether people like it or they do not…alot of Tennesseans hate the team. Whether people like it or not, East Tennessee had a big say in state affairs. The first capital city was there for a reason. 
 

There was a time to make a bad hire, that time wasn’t now. So I just sincerely wonder about the possibility of her selling the team when the finances get tight. She is not as rich as people here are eluding in comparison to other owners. New stadium adds serious pressure to this team, that right now I am afraid is going to end very badly. I don’t see how anything improves without the team landing a star QB in the draft. Ran used all the cap space needed really to get a Free Agent QB worth a damn this offseason. This team is backed into a corner, with loads of financial goals they are supposed to hit with potentially the worst coach the team has ever had. The ingredients are there for chaos. Truly are. Hopefully it turns around before it gets to that. 

I say this with all Due respect: no one gives a shit about East Tenn or what those who live in East Tenn think.

Those things attract a ton of people for an entire weekend and will bring in a ton of tourist dollars for the city.

The same people that complained the first time and had "NFL NO!" signs in their yards sure weren't complaining when we upgraded our grocery stores from just PigglyWiggly or when they sold their 25k house they bought in the 90s for half a million. 
 

They also hate the idea of an infrastructure bill and transportation bill.... not realizing that  also increases growth, improves property value, brings stores and restaurants they like, reduces traffic, and makes their car rides cheaper, safer, and more enjoyable.

 

Rural voters are typically dumb as shit and propagandized to believe it's American to have a selfish existence.  Nashville used to be rural, so even in its busiest liberal parts you are still chock full of rural attitudes. They vote against their own interests because they always have before... then bitch about the state going to shit and blame everyone but themselves.

Hearing people I know post stories and crying about FEMA not helping is just a shame. Fairly intelligent people in a local social circle that have never bothered to look up what they are arguing about. Tennesseans that voted for people refusing to accept Federal monies and defund FEMA... now they want to complain when they wrongly believe FEMA isnt helping.

Because it is true. AAS is one of the poorest owners in the NFL with very low liquidity. If she is required to raise additional funds over 100-200 million she will be forced to atleast sell a portion of the team. I got very frustrated because I know I am correct in what I am saying regarding her lack of liquidity yet I am being berated as an idiot. I shouldn’t react. The last time you all did this to me, I was right. I’ll be right this time too. I understand numbers, data and finances. I have read alot about AAS in depth from legit media sources. She sold all her KSA holdings to raise money for the stadium. She doesn’t have liquid assets remaining, if she is forced to raise more funds it will be a sale of the team. Whether she sells a 5% stake or a 25% stake is to be determined

70% of the speakers in Nashville from Nashville citizens opposed the stadium FYI. I can also link that source. I was born in Nashville, you?
