Geno Smith and Jim Plunkett are laughing at you.  In fact is McNair and Tannyhill.

Geno Smith, Jim Plunkett and Ryan Tannehill were all starting QBs as rookies. McNair was starting by his third season. Willis in his third season is hoping to make the practice squad.

Geno Smith and Tanyy all got over paid because of their roster spot.  You cannot win with those QBs'  You can use them as a bridge until you find your dude.  McNair was hot garbage his first two years but the light came on in year three.

Willis has an amazing skills set.  He just needs more time in the oven and our oven has limited space.  The depth that just showed up at ILB, TE, and WR requires some of the guys from 3-5 yrs of experience have to develop elsewhere.

It is reality.

This is a long shot from happening. The team would have to be falling apart for them to bench Geno Smith. I expect him to continue to be above average and keep them competing for a wild card spot. They will need to decide what to do with him with his contract coming up but he is far from having a short leash.

Smith isn't a that good and didn't come close to his previous season last year. The GM absolutely loves Howell. Personally I don't see it but if Smith falters or is just meh, its a safe bet Howell will get a look.

On Madeline Island with shit reception for a week or so. Can I get a summary of any notable performances in the game? I drive into town once a day or so, should be able to pick up responses later today or tomorrow.

Pre-emptive thank yous and screw yous to the useful and sarcastic responses.

Looked great - Jaquan Jackson, chance campbell, narvesons kicking, Jaylen Harrell. 3/4 should be locks and looked like real contributors. Coach already said we aren't swapping kickers.

NWI and Rudolph looked good and like they should as vets against backups.

The rest pretty much looked like backups/ cuts. Malik doesn't really have a spot unless they think he can keep improving. Most of his big plays were the first plays of drives with misdirection PA rollouts. Had maybe 1 more good throw. A couple hospital balls. 2 terrible throws. Held the ball too long a couple times. His final completion numbers are encouraging more for the offensive scheme than how he played.

Game management and general coaching looked solid. Game was actually fun mid 2nd Q on. Good ending. Drove to win with a FG. We are going to run more than expected but seem better on the edges.

Personal note: My girls family was in town from Poland for their first American football game. They had a blast but were thoroughly confused. Later, a Cheerleader was pointing and yelling to me. I couldn't figure out why and my girl and her family was with me so I ignored her thinking maybe I'd dated her years ago or something. My last relationship trauma taught me to play ignorant. Girlfriend noticed and said "That girl is hollering at you, she's hot. Go say hi" . She liked my custom horizontal striped blue tie dye shirt I got made in Brooklyn. Girlfriend got jealous.. not because of the girl, but because she liked my shirt and not hers - also tie-dyed but the limited release official titans ones from like 4 years back. Win win win.

Willis' time in the oven is going to be selling used cars at Liberty Auto Sales in some redneck town.  I'm glad you're holding onto this though...it's an obvious example of why nobody should ever listen to anything you say.

Iton is one of those UDFA worthy of a practice squad spot and continuing to develop.

Haynes was reportedly the best of the Seahawks IOL in the joint practices and the only one that put up any resistance to Simmons.
