CreepingDeath
Where did Bink go? Did he die? Change his name? Formally break up with TR? Oh shit. Did Jamaaaal insinuate that he was a shitty parent? Goddamnit, Jammalls. Bink is probably going to go hypicritically Christian and carve swastikas into his notebooks. He decided to leave the board, at least for now. But he deleted his account in the process.

Or did he get a job with high scrutiny and didn't want to be traced back to us degenerates?

rns90
Ugh. Another one passes that won’t ever be replaced. Every time one of these 20th century icons dies , a part of our culture dies and is lost to time. None of these actors currently in their prime is going to have the impact that Redford had . I don’t count guys like Pitt (he’s 60 I think or close to it) or DiCaprio since they started in the 90s. Anyway back to Redford, got a ton of his films to pick from to watch. Sneakers, Hot Rock, Way we Were, 3 days of the Condor, All the Presidents Men. One film that was a turkey though was The Great Gatsby . It’s a very dull star studded film made in his 70s prime. It has a famous brutal beat down scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5llk-hkD-c MadMax, and rns90

Probably goes into the “interesting but flawed” category. It’s too long. They probably could have cut 20-30 mins off of it. It’s got this Twin Peaks in the 60s vibe. Pretty open with the infidelity/adultery in the 60s. It also occupies an interesting spot time wise. Post JFK assisination but not till the psychadelic part of the decade yet. This film was made in 1966 and yet a lot of the messages are still relevant . Privlage and powerful people still do hold sway especially in smaller towns . Racism still exists . I had a good chuckle in the beginning where the black kid sees the body and thinks they should report it. Grandma is like nope we don’t need that trouble and she drove past it. That probably still happens. Anyway what carries this movie is the acting, Brando, Fox, and Fonda are all great at being characters in torment. Redford doesn’t get a bunch of screen time but you can clearly see that he has “it” especially near the last part of the movie. Oh, the beatdown was quite brutal and graphic for the time and big stars like Brando didn’t really take that type of beatdown either. oh the Robert Duvall character is a total cuck and loser. Also in a random unintentional funny scene : Bubber’s mom ranting after she leaves sheriffs office is pretty insane. Just had him pop up on my radar twice in recent days with different people discussing what a massive % of commercial radio is written by a small handful of people.
