I know exactly what I’m talking about, so take your condescension elsewhere. This is why we can’t have civil discussions about anything.

I’m not Bud.

That condescension was for the whole site.

Most dont start shit here till others do first. May call you out or make you fight your point but its normally an olive branch to chat unless shit was talked first.

The Boyd thread really got me thinking, but I think this one is the more applicable to post in about this.     I think we as fans do have a more long-term view of the team as far as being co

This is one on the dumber comparisons I’ve heard this week.  This tells me that the people arguing (cough qb agenda) never watched Plummer in Arizona or Denver.  He was always up and down which led to the Cardinals having those shitty in between records.  He escaped scrutiny I suspect because he played at ASU and he lead them to a playoff win over a declining DAL team in 98.

don't know why but I've been reading Jake Plummer this whole time but my mind kept thinking Jim Plunkett.

I was thinking you fuckers had gone crazy or I was getting dementia.

Oh.. so you just change the qualifiers for last year to take away enough guys to give him a good ranking.

What arbitrary number did you use?...

edit: you used tannehills attempts

I used the site's qualified passer list.  He wasn't on it.  Note when you sort by passer rating it does this.....I literally used the NFL's criteria.....

LOL...BUD!

Did you just really call my numbers bunk and then come in here and take away every player in the league that threw less passes than him? Quit your silly bullshit.

By your logic, Sam Howell had the highest passer rating in the league at 78.9 because no one threw more passes than him!!!!

And you did it to try and win an argument that 15.5 is good?

I used 100 passes because that's the normal statistical cut-off. Roughly 3 games of starts. We could do 200 if that makes you feel better as its closer to 6 games (6 games to accrue a season) and he'd still be like 32-33rd and in the 16 range for his career. Still just an average at best QB.

Yeah you jived the numbers as you usually do.  It's why I always check whatever you throw out here.  You always do this.

Plunkett has one of the weirdest career's ever.  Massive bust, career backup, gets a third chance because Pastorini breaks his leg and becomes a 2 time SB QB.

Is there anyone within the last 30 years who is even close to that type of career arc?

That entire Rams stretch is kind of weird too.  They won a SB when  coached by an octogenerain who spent the last 15 years in the booth.  Really should have won the 2001 super bowl.  had a horrible defense in 2000  and lost to the Aaron Brooks led Saints of all teams.  And I think they lost in OT to the Panthers at home in 2003 in the playoffs.

Bud I saw the same page. If you un check that box up there, he's like 67th. So to make it reasonable, the user must pick a qualifying number. Stop acting as if I'm being disingenuous when you did the same thing. You just chose the number to put him in the best light  - intentional or not - and I picked a common marker (100 attempts) without thought to how it aided or hurt him. Just to get him on the list. I even offered you 6 starts or min 200 passes to judge from that, which is entirely fair and a solid compromise for each. Even 150 passes is fair.

You don't think it's fair because it doesn't help your case.

You still have yet to realize that you think this makes you look correct -or me incorrect- that Tannehill isn't/is an average to slightly below average player .... by arguing that he's really ranked somewhere between 30-40 for passer rating this past season.

I used what the league uses to qualify.  I'm not the one who arbitrarily chose 100 pass attempts......and you conveniently ignore that I included his ranking if he had qualified...

But take all of that out of it.  I've already said using Passer Rating alone is flawed so averaging that out really doesn't say what you want it to.

And with context, I can take your 2021 "20th rank/bad season" as completely misleading considering that they played with turnstiles at LT and 3 games without their starting WR's and they had something like a 2/6 TD/INT ratio and 13 PPG.....whereas when AJB or Jones played, the passer rating would have been 12th.  No idea about his Miami days contextually aside from they always had bottom barrel OL's and neither Philbin or Gase were good coaches.

I guess what you need to ask yourself is why an average to below average QB is 12th in career earnings?  Hint it's because he was better than just average.....

That said, it's irrelevant to the topic thread so I'm done with it at least in this thread.

The Mariota fans have been eagerly waiting for the day Tannehill retires.  The most notable news to such folk about the 2024 Titans is his absence.  It’s best to ignore their trolling.

Personally, I’m feeling extremely optimistic about the Titans investment in both lines this offseason.  1 and 2 look like great picks.

Um why?  Shouldn’t one of the other two (Bos or NYY) be more o a hated rival.

Outside of the 1992-1993 seasons, I’ve just seen the Jays as kind of an irrelevant team.

Even the Rays would get more hate from me because they have that “the little engine that could” storyline that seems to happen every year.
