One of the clips he knocked the hand pad off of his coach with a punch. If he can get his stamina up by fight time Jake won’t be able to dance around until he’s winded. And I'll never be convinced he didn't throw the fight with Douglas to get out of the contract with Showtime. PPV was and is where the money at. Douglas, who was in shape beat the shit out of him, Hollyfield bullied him and knocked him out. Lennox Lewis absolutely obligated him and destroyed him. Tyson was all hype. Yep, Tyson was fun to watch but there really wasn't a lot going on during that phase in HW div. After the amazing years during Ali + Liston/Frazier/Foreman that rolled into Larry Holmes (who was kinda boring but an extremely skilled boxer, jab ya to death), Mike filled that excitement vacuum that got people watching again, but there wasn't a lot of quality in the ring. Lennox Lewis was solid legit champion but again not a ton of solid contenders. Peak Holmes or Lewis though vs Tyson? Tyson loses most times unless works in a lucky uppercut early on. Different eras so a bit apples and oranges, but Joe Frazier vs Tyson would have been a great fight, couple guys under 6, Frazier ability to take a ton of punishment and go the distance likely would have worn down Tyson by later rounds.
