The NCAA, NIL's, and the transfer portal have ruined CFB.  Big reason why Saban retired.

I actually think we may get some better players overall because of it.

Likely worse fundamentals and quality of play on the whole, but the portal and options for players allow them to go places where they can get playing experience. For QBs I think it's huge and could become a real development thing. For OL... likely just gets shittier.

AJ Brown and Davis Long were hurt all the time with the Titans.   With their new teams they haven't missed any time. Coincidence or Titan related? Either way I'm tired of it

It's a big one. All offense:   By Bob McGinn     Our draft coverage at Go Long isn’t sanitized. The goal is to provide accurate, honest appraisals of players from those who ha

It's hard to imagine a new coach in NE not wanting to grab a QB.

That latest mock draft I posted was submitted before confirmation of Belichick's future, there is definitely a higher potential for the Patriots to go QB with a new HC where Belichick could of gone down the veteran QB route and taken an OT or WR at #3.

I don't buy the Cards picking Alt and keeping Johnson who they took top 6 last year at RT.

The Cardinals lost their starting LT DJ Humphries to a multi-ligament knee injury in week 17 and he is expected to miss the start of next season.

So would Alt be their LT or RT?  It seems overkill to use two top 8 picks in consecutive years on an OT.

Alt/Fashanu would be LT and Johnson Jr RT in this scenario don't forget they have another first round pick where they could get a WR like Brian Thomas Jr.

With the Cardinals its pretty simple if Harrison Jr is available he will probably be the selection OT enters the discussion if Harrison Jr isn't available to them.

I mean we're looking at 11 on LG and 7 on LT in consecutive years which is probably worse. Obv the difference is we picked the LG first...

Right but it's 2024. He'll be back the following the year. They are going to burn a 2nd top 6 pick on LT? It would be shocking.

He will be 32y/o and the Cardinals can save $16 million in cap space by moving on in 2025.

Don't forget the Cardinals have a 2nd first round pick where they could get a WR they are not getting a plug and play LT at that spot.

This sounds like crazy mock draft season to me. Burning back to back top 6 picks on LTs and then having one play RT while your good 32 year old LT recovers from a torn ACL. Is ossenfort that stupid? Hard to believe. Now if they were trade back and take Latham later I could see it.

There were some who thought Paris Johnson would end up as a better RT than LT, solidifying both OT for the next decade is not a bad strategy.

Like I said earlier this discussion is only really relevant if Marvin Harrison Jr is not available to them at pick #4.

It's insane capital to spend on RT lol
