Time to start figuring out the agenda for the new season.

First thing to figure out is when to transition to the 2022 season. Seems to me the best/most logical time for that would be after the draft so that's when I'll do that, unless enough of you want to do that before then.

Other than that I'm not sure. There were a number of things that were discussed during the season, but I can't remember any of them. Any changes that need to take place for the upcoming season should be talked out and decided on before we transition to the new season just to get all of that out of the way.

I only remember talk of how to change the rules to stop people from tanking by playing guys who were out injured on a bye.

Well currently it says I have the 5th pick as the system is basing it on my upset victory in the losers bracket rather than my woeful regular season performance.

Nah, that won't ever be the draft order. It will be based on your regular season record. It should be anyway by default, but if not and there's no way to disable that loser bracket BS then I'll just set the draft order manually.

Yeah. Only thing I really remember discussing is making sure people don’t play injured/bye players who are guaranteed a 0 on purpose.

Not sure much actually needs to be done about that though besides just making sure people know not to tank that blatantly

I really think this is a slippery slope way of looking at it. I mean, as long as it "looks competitive" it's ok to tank? Tank, but don't tank blatantly? Sounds too open to interpretation. If we're going to allow tanking then I think simpler rules need to be observed, like the one ins your first sentence. Injured players and players on BYEs are about the only players I can think of that shouldn't be allowed to be in starting lineups. There is always the possibility that in-game injuries to starters could push up the numbers of a down-the-depth-chart player you chose to start.

Personally, I like the idea of allowing tanking, but maybe as a way of evening that out we could put in a lottery system for the top 3 picks? Sure, go ahead and tank but you're not automatically guaranteed the #1 pick even if you finish with the worst record. Just have to figure out how people would feel about that.

$1 minimum free agent pickup cost so we don't have to watch nines make 5673 moves a season.

I'm not opposed to it, but as with the draft lottery above have to see how people feel about it. I may consider adding $17 to everyone's FAAB budget so everyone has at least one "free" free agent pick up per week for the season. So everyone would start out with $317.

I will start a poll about these items in the Sleeper app sometime soon.

The NFL draft is April 28-30. I will transition the league to the 2022 season on May 1 with the goal to start the league's rookie draft on May 15th, two weeks later. I figure 2 weeks to figure out where players have gone and to which teams will be enough time for "research".

If anyone has issue with that timeline for whatever reason go ahead and speak up now so we can adjust if need be.

I said “that blatantly” as in guaranteed 0s…. I don’t care if people play shit people. Just not someone who’s not even playing
