Supernope
how did his non-mock picks work out?
begooode
Back to NFL network or does Mayock land another GM gig. Odds are not good for recycled GMs getting another opportunity to call all the personnel shots. Not that he had that freedom with the Raiders either. Dinx81
I tended to follow his mocks more than any other analyst but I don’t think he gets another shot. Teams seem to be going younger in coaches and GMs
Justafan
Say what you want, Mayock had a huge impact in turning the Raiders around. Clearly, he brought more value than Gruden. He brought in Crosby and Josh Jacobs plus a bunch of other starters in his three years. He had a very good hit rate minus Ruggs who looked like he was going to be an absolute stud until he got into trouble, which can hardly be faulted at the GM. He probably won't get another shot but I think he deserves it more than most will give him credit for.

kgsTitan
Kinda hope he goes back to NFLN. I miss his voice during the combine and draft.

I wasn't there and I don't follow the Raiders close enough to know, but I would be highly surprised if Mayock just sat in the background doing the dirty work while Gruden made the picks. He had input for sure but Gruden had final say so its his roster, not Mayock's.

It will be the NFL Network or some other media role. He shouldn’t have been hired to be a GM in the first place.

rns90
Man that Leatherwood pick was so awful. Yeah, it's Gruden's but I had to laugh when he constantly got beat on Saturday.

The drafts were not great. The worst of the reaches was the pick of Clelin Ferrell at pick #4. It was a reach at the time. Gruden and Mayock thought they were smarter than everyone else. They weren't. Mayock certainly got the short straw here. I would have liked to see what he did without Gruden. I saw that Prisco said that Gruden talked Mayock into Clelin Ferrell and Mayock wanted Devin White. Well, if that is true, then maybe Gruden talked him into Josh Jacobs, or Max Crosby. Good GM's don't hang the blame on other people. But, he wouldn't have been a GM if he hadn't been such good friends with Gruden.
