He can't get by with them and an OL that allows him to be pressured immediately on most pass plays. It is a combination of shit OL, Shit skill players, and shit play by the QB. If the line wasn't built to run block first then we'd have an easier time in the passing game. Good summary

Do you people not understand how historically bad these skill players are? RT can't throw the pass and catch it too. Noted. But can we all agree that tannehill needs a HOF babysitter on the backfield to be a somewhat good QB?
OILERMAN
No The only people wanting to replace Tannehill or think he's a problem are the dumbest posters on the board
No1TitansFan
200 rushing yards, dominant defense; the qb wasn't asked to do much with no outside weapons; the reason for the loss was the 4 tos on the road, throw in a critical borderline penalty on a take away we should have had and that one of the fumbles actuallly wasn't a fumble. The QB's role in 2 of those tos is something you can reasonably be upset about but he's playing on a team with virtually nothing to make them fear a deep threat and are playing 3rd down defense accordingly. big2033
Tannehill is not the problem. And there aren't better options for us right now barring some insane trade.
Starkiller
Tannehill isn’t the problem. The problem is he is playing with a bunch of skill position players who are practice squad and street free agent level players. And even that might be good enough if the OL could give him a decent level of pass protection.
Supdawg
Our passing offense is literally the worst in the entire NFL right now. Everything about it is tragically bad. Every time Tannehill drops back I expect something bad to happen. Was literally the exact opposite last year. We went from one of the best, most efficient passing game (EVER) last year to literally worse than Zack Mettenburger/Jake Locker days. I don't believe Tanny is the problem. He can certainly play better, but we look completely dysfunctional.

They also had Smith who was a great blocker and explosive in the redzone. Humphries and Raymond are both better than anything the Titans have trotted out this year at WR except for Jones. Now onto the OL where you have Saffold who got old and can't stay healthy, Davis who has regressed badly, and Quessenberry who is 3rd string at best. I said it yesterday and I'll say it again. The offseason plan for the offense failed miserably.
Guts
Theirs literally no one available next year that is going to replace Tannehill level of production. Best case is taking a QB to groom sooner than later, Tannehill is far down on the list of concerns with this offense.

EatADaK
God damn y'all back to the Brady with 6 SBs vs Tannehill debate Smh shits borderline fukin retarded anymore...It's like let's take the ONE exception at Qb for the last 40 years and compare every active fukin qb against him..Just asanine but u know dumb shit is dumb shit
NFLStudent
Anyone who has a problem with Tannehill now, was fooled into thinking he was something different. He's has not regressed. He's the same guy. He's just asked to do more and he's exposed and now some of us are disappointed/sad/angry. He's not elite. He can't carry a team in a pass first offense. He can be very good, in spots.
reo
Tannehill isn't the problem but he's also not capable of taking over the game and winning w/ less talent like an elite QB. If we get Henry back and he's able to just step in and play like he was then we'll be fine especially if we get Brown back as well. I would like to see them explore options on grooming a replacement though, possibly a 2nd or 3rd round pick... someone who could sit w/o the pressure on the team to start him early. I think they should have tagged him and made him prove he could have another amazing season after never coming to close to his 2019 level of play before. Then he went and had a similar year. Now I'm wondering if he just played above his station for two years and now he's back to being a good not great QB. I think its very possible thats what we are seeing.
