McCormick also reports that the Eagles want a third-round pick for Samuel. " I say go for it! He's 31, but he is still very good. This is a sure way to replace the void left by Finnegan. Harvey_Specter Posted March 28, 2012 Report Share Posted March 28, 2012 His numbers at profootballfocus.com has him as a top 10 CB in the league again last year, so I'm not sure where people on this board are getting he's washed up from. He still has a lot left in the tank, he has never suffered a really serious injury, he has had some hammy issues and what not, but never an injury that kept him out for a significant amount of time. He is still playing at a very high level. He is not a particularly good tackler like finny was which is his weakness, but he is an absolute ballhawk and does not allow many passes to be thrown on him. I'd certainly give up a fourth rounder for him and try to sign him for 8-9 million. He is a saavy corner, our young secondary could learn a lot from a guy like Asante. 9 million for a #1 boundary corner is a fair market price. Slide Verner inside, and Jason McCourty outside with Samuels. I'd say that is a pretty good secondary and Mouton and Campbell as depth. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
