Not many companies would have that kind of money. What they should do is say that they are no longer planning on investing new resources into Forida and instead focus their efforts on developing in California. I have a tendency to believe Disney has enough overhead to survive the pull-out.

ctm
For the Republican nomination, former President Donald Trump’s support in the hypothetical Republican primary is at 62%, followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at 16%. No other candidate reaches double digits. Trump’s 62% reflects an increase in support for the first time in an Emerson national poll since June 2022, where he has held a consistent 55%. Since the February national poll, DeSantis has lost nine points of support, from 25% to 16%. https://emersoncollegepolling.com/strongapril-2023-national-poll-strong-strongbiden-and-trump-on-track-for-2024-rematch-strong/ DeSantis is a poor candidate who is losing support and he hasn't even entered the heat of battle yet. Wait till Trump goes full bore at him. IsntLifeFunny

Wait till Trump goes full bore at him. Objectively, looking just at resumes and valuing a bit higher a candidate's executive experience, the best of the current bunch is likely Haley. But she has no lane to the primary, imo. The DeSantis failure to launch is painful to watch, given how much he is trying to avoid Trump and playing proxy wars on da Woke. At least Christie has more authenticity here by criticizing Trump directly -- and especially emphasizing the losing from Trump in addition to his amorality/criminality. If Christie gets in, he will immediately go after DeSantis, imo. His first order of business is to replace DeSantis as THE alternative to Trump. If Trump and Christie double team DeSantis in the first debates, DeSantis will wilt and it will be brutal to watch.

If Christie gets in, on the debate stage it will be Trump vs Christie for all intents and purposes. DeSantis will be immensely diminished and looking to stave off a Marco moment or self-inflicted wound -- 'remember, I'm Trump without the indictments, hating the same liBz'. Plus DeSantis, his voice and inflections, he just sounds more like an annoying whiner than either Trump or Christie. That said, outside of the debate stage DeSantis' popularity and overall recent success as a governor will loom large over Christie's long ago accomplishments, esp as bad as he left office. IsntLifeFunny
DeSantis isn't jumping into the election unless Trump is behind bars. His numbers are going the opposite direction and he's going to look like a smurf next to Trump.

Starkiller
https://www.businessinsider.com/jane-roberts-chief-justice-wife-10-million-commissions-2023-4 Two years after John Roberts' confirmation as the Supreme Court's chief justice in 2005, his wife, Jane Sullivan Roberts, made a pivot. After a long and distinguished career as a lawyer, she refashioned herself as a legal recruiter, a matchmaker who pairs job-hunting lawyers up with corporations and firms. Roberts told a friend that the change was motivated by a desire to avoid the appearance of conflicts of interest, given that her husband was now the highest-ranking judge in the country. "There are many paths to the good life," she said. "There are so many things to do if you're open to change and opportunity." And life was indeed good for the Robertses, at least for the years 2007 to 2014. During that eight-year stretch, according to internal records from her employer, Jane Roberts generated a whopping $10.3 million in commissions, paid out by corporations and law firms for placing high-dollar lawyers with them. Also this activist, pro gun fetish itself ignores the number 1 killer of school age children and guarantees we remain locked in the cycle of gun violence / denial / proliferation / animus Says Trump won 2020 -- honestly, this one may be the most troubling, imo. It allows for wholesale negation of observable facts for 30% of Americans, to insert and act upon whatever the current right wing narrative is.
