Point being if Republicans and Dems worked together to find a more moderate Speaker then that speaker could then push his party to work w/ dems to get shit done on things like the debt ceiling, legislation, etc. Then there wouldn't be as much to share blame on.  The problem is I don't know if there is such a Republican. I wouldn't work w/ them for someone who would then just toe the party line and play hard ball w/ Dems on everything while caving to the extremists of the party.
