IowaOiler
So we got three interceptions against a Steelers offense that was aiding people to the sideline every other play....and still lost. Yeah, we were -3 in TOs, and still lost. The defense was much better in the second half, but Mahomes and Jackson will eat this defense alive, and regardless of how great our offense is, how far will we make it if everyone in the stands knows what is coming on every first down? We are 5-1, and that is reason to be somewhat happy, but this is simply not a better team than we took to the playoffs last year...not even close. Good coaches and good quarterbacks will make us pay, and if we get to the playoffs, that's about the only thing left. Truly, I hope I'm wrong about the kicking game being an absurdity (my 'take' from over a month ago) and the defense being a joke (my 'take' for the last month). The Steelers were the best team. Why?? True we sucked first half and after adjustments 2nd half we got back in it with different players and play calling..No team plays a perfect game and loses they adjust and get back in it to win it. ITS CALLED HEART! ..We came up short that's it....GO TITANS

They may win a game or two but you have win 3 games to win a title.

I can see the CB's playing better with the return of Jackson, Butler sliding into the slot, and Fulton developing into a solid starting CB as the season progresses (this is admittedly a half glass full scenario). But the pass rush has been a total disappointment outside of Simmons' interior pressures. The good news is that they ditched the soft coverage that wasn't working and there are still 10 games to go. If before the game you had told me the Titans would be +3 on turnover differential and only give up 2 sacks I would of thought that they would of won the game by 7+ points. This offense is good enough to win a SB if the defense can just be average let alone good, have to wait for the entirety of the season but there seems to be some real scheme/coaching issues right now, Evans even said during the week the players were really struggling to get on the same page as Bowen. dcblanton
I think you have to admire the Titans for making it a game. I know that Ben's turnovers helped out a lot, even still, the Titans put a scare into them. It is really early. A lot of football left to be played and it will come down to who is healthy at the end. The games against the Bengals, Lions, Jags and Texans should be wins. So, that puts you at 9 wins. Then, you just have to hope to split the more difficult games. If you do, you end up at 12-4. I think that is doable. Not sure that you will get the first seed, but it should land you the third seed at worst. Chiefs have the easiest remaining schedule. After today, the remaining teams on the Chiefs schedule have a 39.7% record. The Steelers are second easiest with a 46.9% record. Then the Ravens with 51.5%. Then the Titans with 54.7%. I think everyone has to hope that the Steelers and Ravens split. If either of them sweep the other one, that will give them a huge leg up. I feel like this season has a lot more weird stuff happening than normal. It also feels like there are more 'bad teams' than normal. I think there is normally more 'middling' teams. The Titans barely got into the playoffs last year, and got all the way to the Championship game. I think the two games against the Colts are extremely important. It is important to at least split those games.

One of the defense's interceptions was the last play of the half and was no different than an incomplete pass I understand your point, but they could have tried a field goal if Ben didn't throw a pick there. If he checks it down and takes a timeout. That's another 3 points.

The Titans are one of the best teams in the NFL since Tannehill took over in week 7 last year.

I have a feeling Vrabel took over play calling in the second half. It was an entirely different scheme after the dump off for 30 to Conner in the early third. Bluth
Are there any pass rush guys available for trade? Does Geno Atkins have anything left in the tank? Our pass rush is absolute garbage.

Instead of cover 3 they were throwing some Tampa 2 in even in the middle of the field, not just on the Int. They were blitzing on 3rd, and they also opened their DE’s up into a wide 9 look that they weren’t using the entire first half, or the rest of the season for that matter. They weren’t only running zone blitzes. I saw at least 2-3 straight up cover zero blitzes we haven’t seen the entire year.
TheBukafax
Based on what we’ve seen from the Bills game and the second half of the Steelers game I believe the team will be complete by the end of the season. Come playoff time the team will be good for a run.
