I get it, it was a great win...but let's not start carving busts for Canton yet.  The defense is a total shit-show, hidden by fortunate TOs.  We are allowing opposing offenses to convert 60% of third downs....yeah, 60%!  Behind us are the NY Giants at 53.8%.  We can't seem to get off the field without a TO.

When we go against Mahommes, or Rodgers, or Big Ben, we are going to be embarrassed if the trend doesn't change in a big way.

This is true, but hopefully will be mitigated/improved once Adoree gets back and we mix in man coverage + frees up Byard to “roam” more.

Another true point is that when it comes down to it, all that counts is points allowed and we are top 10 on D which is, well, bueno.

I love Tannehill. He is an elite QB. Top 5 even, but there is a difference here. As someone pointed out in the comments on this tweet, Tannehill has the luxury of teams lining up and game planning for #22. Teams that play the chiefs are game planning and lining up to stop #15.

Hah I dont think anyone thinks Tannehill is better than Mahommes.

But he is more efficient and is a top caliber NFL QB, that’s the point.

There is zero chance Tannehill is above Wilson or Mahomes and Rodgers is back to his best this year.

This dude is a 1st grade moron. Just read his other posts.....

He’s on par and currently playing better

On par with Mahomes???

Come on Oilerman.

Maybe I underrate him and possibly overrate Mahomes but it's going to take a lot for him to get into that category.

I'm fine with him being considered behind those guys, but shit, the guy isn't even largely considered a top 10 QB and we see nothing but overwhelming evidence that suggests otherwise. All because he plays in Nashville.

There are national people who have him not even in the top 20!!!

We can debate the elite status and "rankings" but Tannehill has played better than Mahomes this year.  Higher Passer Rating, TD%, completion %, same YPA and that's with Mahomes having at least 3 interceptions flat out dropped by defenders.

Team wise, the Titans are scoring more PPG (5th at 30.5) and are better in the red zone (#2 only behind Seattle).

Even if you want to go ranking wise and have Wilson, Rodgers, Mahomes in the top 3, Tannehill is easily #4.

The point isn't that Tannehill is as good as Mahommes. The point is that Titans have gotten Mahommes-level play from him over the last 14 games. Make no mistake though, he keeps this up and he will certainly be considered just as good. He doesn't have to be as "talented" as Mahommes to give this team a similar effect. Efficiency is king and Tannehill proves that.

I'm gonna make a counterargument for the Mahommes/Tannehill comparison.

Imagine if Tannehill got to play for several years under an Andy Reid offense, with those weapons? Reid made Mcnabb look like a top QB. Alex Smith had his best production in KC and made people wonder if he was an elite QB who wasn't in the right situation. Reid's offense is the top of the NFL, and they have explosive playmakers across the board.

Meanwhile, put Mahommes in TN. We wouldn't magically transform into Reid's offense. And exactly how much more could Mahommes have done with last night's WR roster than Tannehill did? Not a damn bit.

Tannehill biggest issue is his time in Miami-If he was a 3-4 year guy he prob get a lot more love.Folks wanna dwell on who he was and not what he is now. They fail to gloss over the fact he played for a shit organization his whole time there and Gase lmao we know how that dude coaches and how great he is.Now Tanny found a home his actual talent is coming on display. If they don’t give u the respect you earn it,which he has.
