I have really cooled on JRob considerable first he lets Burnett go when he was clearly the best young WR in preseason now we see the fucking Texans nab Thomas. One final thing if he drafts another WR high next draft instead of getting an experienced WR he deserves to get axedif the team fails. titanruss Posted October 31, 2018 Report Share Posted October 31, 2018 I like having Fowler back ... and maybe it’s just because of our receiver situation (which seems could have easily been fixed via trade) .. but it’s pretty obvious they want to be a run first team that runs to set up the pass. Its a shame. You can’t do that with our RB talent and it’s just not where the game is centered anymore. Passing to set up the run becomes the norm because it works. Many of our best rushing games the past few years came when we started passing first and most all of our best offensive performances came the same way. This move will help some but we needed a move to save this season with help coming in the form of pass catchers. Teams will I’ll just load the box now, making it easier to blitz .. and double CD. OILERMAN Posted November 1, 2018 Author Report Share Posted November 1, 2018 If I'm the Titans I come out against the Cowboys with Fowler in a run look and try and some early playaction down field to Davis and possibly to Dion Lewis. The Cowboys are going to be dead set to keep the Titans from establishing their running game since they added Fowler. I might even try to get the ball deep to Jonnu out of some heavy sets with Fowler. The other thing they can do out of these heavy run sets is use option plays to get Mariota on the edge and get some big gains running the ball. Obviously they should try and run the ball as well but early on there will be opportunities to attack a Cowboys defense dead set on stopping the Titans run game Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
