Has there ever been a HC on a worse 2 year stretch than Hue Jackson?

That whole experiment needs to be blown up. Coach and front office both need to go. In spite of all the horrendous decisions, both off and on the field, the Browns are sitting incredibly pretty. They'll almost certainly have the 1st overall pick in the draft again and a ton of picks beneath that. They also already have some very good pieces in place on offense for a young QB: two potential star receivers in Coleman and Gordon, a young promising tight end in Njoku, and a young promising running back in Isaiah Crowell. One of these blue chip QB's coming out could turn that team's direction around overnight. They could use the rest of the draft to beef up the oline and surround Myles Garrett with more talent on defense.

This might be crazy talk, but if the Browns were to make the right personnel moves they could be a serious dark horse to take the AFCN as early as next year. The Bengals are a perennial fustercluck and the Steelers are going to suffer a rebuild when Big Ben retires after the season. The Ravens are also looking like they're on a downward trend and I'm sure Cleveland would love sticking it to them.

WHen they started this experiment a year and a half ago, they told everyone they were building for the next five years....and they traded down mutiple times in order to reach that goal.

I agree that their organization is in dumpster fire mode...but the fact is, with their approach to the draft and free agency, they really shouldn't expect to see any kind payoff until next year;   once they start using these picks they've stockpiled, they should be able add a lot of top-notch talent over a short period and get a lot better in a hurry.

Personally...even though the organization has stuck to their guns with their whole "vision" approach, I don't think their owner has the guts or patience to see it through.   At the end of the day, someone will be held accountable for all the losses....and it won't be Jimmy Haslam.   My guess is, he'll make a grand gesture of cleaning house and the next staff will benefit from the current regime's sacrifice.    What they do with it is anyone's guess.

Whiz was the worst HC I have ever seen. He was clueless, his QBs took an absolute beating, he threw his players under the bus, and he made excuses and when confronted with facts, he lied.

McKay from expansion Buccaneers is my guess in terms of pure futility, but at least the dude was pretty funny. With Hue I feel like he wants to sell me a car after practice.

All time "Hue's", I'm going with Hugh Campbell who was lifted from the CFL to land Moon.  Grey Cups or not, the dude was in waaay over his head.
