Dr. Andrew's works for the redskins. Right? How does it work when a player goes to him to have work done.

Andrew's is a consultant......to many teams......and he rarely operates.......his fellows do the cases in Pensacola.  He left UAB long ago for political reasons and opened his own hospital in Pensacola and has a cadre of private doctors who consult for AGENTS.

Good agents know who to listen too and who not to listen too.  Remember when Vilma dropped in the draft because he has a DJD of a meniscus?  It was leaked early and it was total BS........Jets took him and he played well and had a good career there and in NOLA until the NFL tried to freeze him out with Greg Williams BS.

I think since he's A 1st rounder his contract would be guaranteed???

This is where the player get into about the offset language.

Teams might be unwilling to claim him for two more years of guaranteed money.

Actually I just looked it up, he has a guaranteed 2016 just over 1 mill, 2017 his salary is not guaranteed for a 1 mill base

No reason not to claim him with those numbers imo.  Even if he's a complete flop, you've lost very little.

Sounds like there are some issues on his end in following instruction from his superiors. The Pats wanted him to do certain things in his rehab and he chose to go a different direction. Not exactly want you want to see your young injured prospect do.

Still, I would bring him in, talk to people around him, and think about bringing him on. Isn't he more of a 4-3 end?

3 tech...

he is perfect for Philly in case they trade us Cox
