Here's the thing, the fact that Mularkey was able to assemble this staff so quickly tells me he knew exactly who he wanted and got them.

So while I'm not surprised most other coaches feel its not a great staff ... it's the staff he wanted.

I agree. I've screamed so loud recently my damn voice is hoarse. The team is still here. I can't change the Mularkey hire. Gotta wait and see. I do like that Mularkey has been very decisive in his decisions. He obviously has a plan, and he's executing it judiciously. Looks like we will be prepared for FA and the draft in swift fashion. +++++

It's the only thing I'm hanging on to. AAS and everyone involved have been fairly definitive in their decisions. Right or wrong.

Waiting for Cleveland or the Lakers go get him. No respects Tyron Lue.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in LA.

I guess is a great coach is a lil strong if we speaking of head coaching, but I fully think he will prove to be a great head coach. Look who hes learned from, lute Olson, Phil Jackson, Steve Kerr.

This is all I ever thought was good.  He seems like he can do a good job.  Hopefully his hands will not be tied by cheap or meddlesome ownership.  JR has some good picks and the team has money for him to make some good improvements to the roster.  Will he be allowed to spend or will he be told to keep it always to the minimum?

Don't get me wrong. I like Robinson. I was criticizing the "process"

There were reports Mularkey was working on his staff before he was officially hired (because he knew even more certainly than everyone else that he was the shoe-in). Add to that the fact many of these guys weren't employed in a manner that required obtaining permissions and working through approval channels.

This isn't all that fast.

Look, no one liked the so-called coaching "search", no one liked it when Mularkey was hired, and a majority of the opinions on his coaching hires are mixed at best. And I'd also say a majority of the people here still aren't happy with ownership or they're at least heavily skeptical of them.

My point is no one has to be convinced that things look a tad sketchy. So... take a vacation, detective. You've earned a break.

In the meantime, let's at least enjoy Robinson's work in free agency and the draft and set aside a patch of soil for a little hope to possibly sprout up. Sound good?

I think this is why PK is a shit........you are not what you were, you are what you become.  Failure teaches better than success.  I think Mularkey is going to be very successful in spite of his history or his staff.  Why?  He has the key pieces in tact, cap space, support from the owner and GM and the first pick in the draft.

He is set up for success.

Couldn't be more wrong. This staff will be lucky to last a season and a half.

Mularkey knew he wasnt going to get any young up and coming coaches to join his staff. I dont blame him for going after old coaches that he ahs connections with. I just dont like how some of them have been out of coaching for several years. The only hire I disliked was Robiskie. Probably didnt want some young innovative coach to come in and not run the kind of offense that he wanted. Mularkey will probably be calling the shots and he knows Robiskie wont try to over step him. I would have liked to gone after an OC with recent stints that were successful.
