It just seems like to me Ruston kept wanting to hit the home run.  He wanted to be the guy who showed the smarts to get the next great player.  He wasn't satisfied with hitting singles so he over-drafted and drafted players that no one else valued.  Unfortunately he just had a lot of big swings and misses.

From a Falcons fan: Webster likely got the job because he ripped the Falcons off on the Levitre trade & Blank was impressed.

and: all right! a 5th GM… whew, i was getting worried the falcons were gonna be a little short on gm’s.

Yes because only a select few of NFL GM's has the vision/ability to trade a player for a sixth round pick plus a conditional one...lol

Getting anything at all for Levitre was Webster's finest hour as Titan's GM.

I haven't really thought through it, but it seems trading was one area Webster did well in.  Not that he made smart trades, just that he got good value in trades.  I can't recall him getting fleeced or even being on the obvious wrong end of a trade, but I'm sure there were times.

The Justin Hunter trade was pretty bad.  Also, the Falcons hired former Bucs HC Raheem Morris as their new WR coach.  That one is pretty weird.
