Jonboy
The full crew returns this week to discuss the Titans recent hires of Mike Mularkey and Jon Robinson. @TitansGuru is back in the house, along with @Jonboy , @Jamalisms , and @OILERMAN . It may surprise you who is the most optimistic out of the group. The crew debates the nature of the process and talks about the highlights - and lowlights - of the introductory press conference. We also hear directly from you, the listeners, in a voicemail segment to close out the show. Oh, and that song everyone is talking about... http://traffic.libsyn.com/twotonecrew/Episode_116.mp3 http://twotonecrew.libsyn.com/rssStitcher: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-two-tone-crewVoicemail:(615) 900-0282Mailbag: [email protected]Facebook:http://www.facebook.com/titansreportTwitter:Titans Report- @titansreport Jonboy- @RetroRaconteur Jamal- @Jamalisms iTunes:https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-two-tone-crew/id485247545?mt=

ChesterCopperpot1
How in the flying fuck is OMan defending Mularkey and slamming Chip Kelly?! And then he says Mularkey's stint in Jacksonville doesn't count. Good fucking lord.
TeamRamrod
Third voicemail was the best lol classic. Digged @freakingeek's and a few other message too. Good work guys.

MamlngEnvy
I don't think it would of made it easier to swallow mularkeys hiring if they interviewed top coaches, it woulda been worse knowing they interviewed gase/jackson/mcdaniels and still pick lame ass mike

And then he says Mularkey's stint in Jacksonville doesn't count. Good fucking lord. Jees, that's easy. Kelly is the latest college coach getting exposed in the NFL. His system has been figured out and he wears his own defense out. He's power hungry and at the same time clueless about building an NFL team. Trades a #2 draft pick for Bradford and offers him a huge extension then signs Murray to a big deal in a system he doesn't even fit in. His own players hate him. It's not that MM's Jags season doesn't count, it just wasn't a failure because he was a bad coach. Jimmy Johnson went 1-15 his first year, what if the Cowboys cut him after one season? The examples go on forever. That's how. Common sense and simple reasoning
Bobo
Oman was the most sensible about the current situation, not sounding like most of TR of late - overreacting, emotional wrecks. Although I'm still worried about what general offensive philosophy we'll see with Mularky and his OC choice as I'm afraid it may not maximize Mariota's potential, overall I can't believe we are as bad or worse off going into next year with Robinson/Mularky instead of Webster/Whiz. OILERMAN
Josh McDainel? You take McDainel away from the Pats and the guy is a totally clueless buffoon. As the Bronco's head coach he traded away Brandon Marshall and people might forget he actually tried to trade Cutler away for Matt Freaking Cassel. I was so busy making fun of McDaniel for trading up for Tebow I had forgotten about him trying to get Cassel. He was a maniac on the sidelines and totally out of control with his ego. His one stint with the Rams in no way adds to his resume, it was a disaster. If you trade up in the 1st round for Tim Tebow your disqualified from my coaching search. BTW, no one else tried to hire him either
Jamalisms
Maybe Mularkey can get us to 8-8 like the other coach Oman always has an excuse for.
Face
I wouldn't say his stint in Jax doesn't count but too often the media just throws out a guys record with zero context. People take the Parcells line about you are what your record says you are too far. Parcells himself barely escaped getting fired midseason of his 2nd year. TBH, all of my ire and vitriol was directed at AAS and Underwood, but Mularkey got caught in the crossfire. And that's not fair to Mularkey. The guy didn't ask for this shit. And I think that's what's going on with a lot of fans. Their justified anger is leading them to lash out at the nearest target, which happens to be Mularkey. They may even understand, intellectually, that AAS and Underwood are the reasons, but they're not aiming their disgust where it truly belongs... it's just going out in a general direction. I'm not nearly as optimistic as you are about Mularkey, but if Robinson can build a good roster and Mariota can improve then maybe right time/right place. The team's best players gave him ringing endorsement. Although you say you don't ever listen to what they have to say, that's not nothing. I doubt Mularkey will ever win us a Super Bowl, but he's got a helluva lot better chance now that Webster is history. Robinson's roster and Mariota are the keys to success or failure. I would love to be 8-8 as opposed to 3-13. Although 7-9 is the new 8-8.
