Mariota Did Us A Major Favor

TB is all but taking this kid as their QBOF

If they pass on him for Winston, or a top talent DL then we will have multiple people calling our phones willing to sell the farm for him

teams like Cleveland, and Philly come to mind

We can all but assure that Whiz will want nothing to do with either of these kids, and is probably keeping his eye on someone like Petty in the 4th, or Cook next year if Mett doesn't pan out.

I hope TB takes Gregory, and leaves Mariota at our pick so we can sell our pick to someone, and get players and picks for him

I'd love to see Philly offer us their #1, and #2, and next years #1, and a player like McCoy or Barwin or Williams for our pick

Kelly will sell the farm to get Mariota

Cleveland is not going to trade up and take a QB with the owner stretching on Manziel last year.

And you want to trade all the way down to 20 to pick up a late second and a (likely) late first round pick next year to pass on a blue chipper like Williams? Fuck that.

We have no idea what kelly will do or how he feels about mariota but it should cost a hell of a lot more than that.

I think the QBs may drop a bit. What's Lovie's relationship with Cutler like? Maybe they'll trade for him.

Lovie had a SB caliber team that needed more offense.  Jay came, Lovie got fired.

Winston sounds like he's coming back to FSU next year.

Also wants to still play 2 sports, football and baseball.

Id be shocked if he stayed in school & while I don't want him it would've been nice to have that trade down option. Also, could you imagine if we didn't have Mett & was banking on Jameis as our QBOF & the asshole sticks around to play baseball? That'd be our luck.

The baseball thing annoys me. Don't get me wrong, I hate the whole specialization thing at the HS level & below, to me the more sports a kid wants to play the better. But this a whole other story here, this is big business, we're talking a potential #1 pick here. And from what I read this kid is no Bo Jackson, he's just not that good at baseball.

I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting to this a bit but if I were a GM thinking of taking him, after sifting through all the other off field crap, and now he's talking about baseball, it would bug me. I can see it already, him pulling a VY, but instead of going back to Texas to knob off some frat guys he's off in Omaha playing in some hack pro baseball league with a bunch of broke ex MLBers & a few local methhead Kenny Powers types.

Really the first chance I had to see both play for an entire game.

I'm not impressed with either....especially Winston. The stumble-fumble will be a highlight for a long time.

He's 6' 4" in the same way Manziel is 6' 0".......not quite that tall.

Mariota doesn't look 6' 4" either.

I'm liking Mettenbooger more after that game.

Welcome to middle Tennessee Mr. Williams!
