Just some perspective from around other AFC South forums:

Colts forum thinks it's a great hire, pretty much consensus

Jags fans are saying the sky is falling because yet another divisional rival got an awesome HC, pretty much consensus

Texans fans....aren't even acknowledging it yet.

Also, Lions fans are collectively contemplating quitting their fandom for Whis choosing us.

Can't deny it, I'm digging it more and more with every hour.

Source??? Because Deadspin readers let out a big ass yawn.

Anyone who doesn't understand this is a massive upgrade to Munch isn't paying attention.

So about 80% of the forum was happy with the hiring of Whisenhunt...and the guy was a total disaster. Interestingly enough, roughly the same percentage of fans are unhappy with the Mularkey hire.

I think it's a great hire.

Man I was getting scared that we'd get stuck with Caldwell, but I wanted Zimmer. I'm 50/50 right now.

I like the offensive move.....especially if it means we draft a QB right away. Will be interesting to see his decision.

I like the 3-4. I like the options about it. IF we go that route.

There are some flags with this hire. If the stories are true, then keep mularkey away.

I'm certainly not DOWN, just a little reserved. Just make us a winning team coach.

He's certainly an upgrade over Munch. Like others, I hadn't even seriously considered him since the media just knew he was going to be the Lions next coach.

I'd imagine at this point, the Lions, and Browns will most likely wait until Quinn, Roman, etc are free before taking Caldwell or Munch.

Is Zimmer to Minnesota still the consensus at this point?

Did anyone else see the report that he would likely be calling his own plays? If so, that makes the OC slightly less important.

I hope we get Horton for DC.

Titans Coach Ken Whisenhunt would like to land John McNulty (Bucs) and Keith Butler (PIT) as his coordinators, but could be blocked on both
