Tillerson calls Trump a fucking moron and nothing happens....   He speaks out against Russia and he's fired the next day

This is a interesting point of view and by interesting, I mean nuts. Tillerson tried to apply corporate america principles to the State dept and failed but you are crazy if you don't realize he is a g

I know some people that work at the State department, and they didn't like Tillerson much.    Politics aside, they viewed Clinton, Kerry, Rice and Powell as effective leaders.   What worked for Tiller

Could possibly mean war with Iran. Pompeo has publicly and recently called for bombing Iran. This morning, President Trump nominated Pompeo for Secretary of State, stating that he nominates Pompeo because he and Pompeo agree on all things.  President Trump highlighted his and Pompeo stances on Iran at the same time that he said they agree on all things. President Trump also cited Iran as being an issue of disagreement between him and Secretary of State Tillerson.

When approval ratings tumble you start a war. It’s the republican way.

The timing of this is crazy.  The UK, The US's closest ally and member of NATO,  has given Russia a deadline of midnight today to answer to the nerve agent killing of the UK spy and other UK citizens. If Russia does not (and Russia just publicly said it will answer for nothing), the the House of Commons will act tomorrow. One of things on the table is freezing Russia financial assets. I assume that could lead to further conflict.

President Trump would (or should if he pays attention) known all the above.  So he fired the Secretary of State during the above. Note: Secretary Tillerson said yesterday that there needs to be action on Russia for this.

But...but...the House ended the investigation!

Further reading: UK's banking system is home to a lot of Russian money.  If UK freezes those assets, it could lead to large conflict.  Germany and France have signaled alignment with what UK does, as has the EU as a whole. So if UK freezes Russian assets, the EU will probably do the same.

Huge amounts of Russian money have poured into the British capital since the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union, causing some to refer to it as“Londongrad”.

James Sherr, a Russia expert at the Chatham House think-tank, told Reuters Britain could hurt Putin and his allies by denying them access to the City of London’s financial services.

“They have milked and taken for granted its services as a hub for their global dealings and investments. They have been accustomed for a long time to regard this country as their playground and we have the means to change that,” he said.

“This regime in Russia is founded on a tight and unprincipled merger at all levels between power and money: if you attack the money, you are also attacking the regime’s power.”

That would cause strife in Russia if Putin and his henchmen lost a lot of their wealth with the click of keystrokes in central banks across Europe.

I have no faith whatsoever that Tillerson would do anything against Russia. He's a huge friend of theirs and gutted the state department in large part bc of them imo. Getting him out is huge.

This could also potentially be huge.

enough of this freezing BS. completely seize them. auction that shit off to the highest EU bidders. freezing just means they could eventually get it back. they should completely fuck all the oligarchs of russia over, worldwide. make it illegal for anyone with a russian passport to own foreign property or even companies.

putin would be out in under a week.
