Yes, plenty. Now, more silence but there's still some support. 

 

Still, the lack of recent and intentional vocal support surrounding a growing pariah has little to do with protecting the systems and favors these "insiders" may do for teams in order to get some actual scoops to release. Many of them are good friends as well. 

 

Also, these folk live in an whisper-game echo chamber until some one with real info changes or loudens the echo. They dismiss rumor based on rumor. And back up rumors because they heard it from multiple other rumor sources. 

 

Almost everyone with the Eagles or locally there have said the AJ chatter was coming out of nowhere and didn't make sense.

I'd say almost all sports industry reporters are either silent or supporting but if they do talk about it, it's more the facts of the whats been presented and feels much more sterile than anything else they will do.

None of those are active support. They're avoidance of a legally touchy subject. The exact opposite of commentary.

Not talking in situations like this is also often support. 

 

But you have to define support. And when you are using it. You support friends by not speaking bad about them. You may give credence to an unprovable rumor if it keeps your friend (or fellow sketchy favor swapping scoops reporter) from getting into even more trouble and fucking up everyone's good thing. 

 

I  - what you responded to - was originally and specifically talking about supporting her on the AJ/Eagles stuff... not the other shit.
