Don't fool yourself. Cam got a bit better at the end, the oline got better. Dont' fool yourself that the replacement coaches did anything. I do expect some bump from the coaches... but not that big of one. We had shit WRs, poor running game and a rookie qb asked to do too much. I used to give Bongo shit for saying he had a drop problem, but that was only because he used his mud slinging abourlt Davis as an excuse to prop up his love affair with Zay Jones. If Davis hadn't had as much of a problem with skillet hands and had been better at fighting guys for the ball he may have had a better/longer career. Because the guy's college highlight reel is a thing made of dreams. The dude looked like a bonafide future HoFer based off that alone. Maybe he also would have been helped by being in an offense better suited to exploit his skillset but it is what it is. imo, Corey Davis turned out to be just a guy, because on the field he was a very linear, kinda limited athlete regarding his ability to change directions, balance/body control, and making any sort of contested catches. 6 games into AJs rookie season the difference between their respective abilities was night and day. You’ve already fooled yourself, but I’m not prepared to derail another thread rehashing Callacrap getting himself fired. IsntLifeFunny

I'm tired of a Titans team that prides itself of defense- scores 10 pts a game and calls that exciting. There is a reason the Titans have rarely been in contention in 30+ years. Too much pride in defense as the league skews more and more offense. Peyton manning offense was fun to watch.. even from the Titans side. Rams were one of the most fun teams to watch this year. Mahomes is exciting to watch. TBC- I am not saying the Titans should go Love bc of this-- I just get tired of ppl saying loading up on th deffense side of teh ball is THE answer. But the the Titans need teh best player they can get... and definitely need to do a whole lot more for the current offense than they've done. "I want this to be the last word so dont respond to the pont I'm making". BcI will die on this hill. The coaching staff after BC were the same damn coaching staff and did shit. That's why none are here or have decent jobs anywhere. Edited March 21 by Pragidealist begooode

We don’t know enough about Cam to put him on that pedestal. Can he be near McNair? Can he be near his numbers sake Moon? Those are giant shoes to fill. Pump the brakes. He may be, he may outshine them. Until then, slow down. Let the kid breathe. There’s no Trent Williams in this draft. Love could be the choice. But our offense line at the moment is ass. McNair was behind HOFers. We don’t have anything close to a Matthew’s, Runyon, Hopkins or Olsen. Edited March 21 by TitansFan23

Either somewhere in teh first 3 rounds (preferly 2) or trade (free agency woudl have been fine too) So he can breathe. but Cam HAS to be that good. Or this window is shit anyway. Nowhere near good enough, but not Zay Jones either... There were multiple factors, but his own shortcomings weren't trivial. I'm just not swallowing the bullshit that he was trash from the word go. It's not nearly that simple. @headhunter is also right that he may not have been right after the surgery. headhunter, IsntLifeFunny, and Callidus

Certainly not worth the draft position and once he left Tennessee he was basicly done but if he could have continued being a number 2 somewhere i could see a good career where he averaged 800-900 a season.
