Well Vrabel is basically hands off on the offense for now.... and they were a better passing team than rushing. Then says part of the reason their offense was used slot guys so well is because they were cheaper. I'm not sure that's 100% the reasoning behind it even if that was a giant bonus. They also used 2 TE sets a ton too and had Randy moss for a bit. They just zigged because defenses were leaving those areas of the field weaker and they could find substitutes for the run game without running. They were cheaper because no one was using them. But NE always had money because Kraft paid Brady under the table for his side "business" and players took a discount to go there to win championships.
