This means well over half of ICE’s officers have been on the job for only a few months. DHS is arming and deploying thousands of rookie officers who have no real world knowledge or experience…and who are almost certainly being told they’re there by order of the President himself and therefore have no obligation to respect state or local laws or authorities. That kind of language is extremely dangerous. In the past week I've seen numerous videos of ICE escalating in new ways referencing Good as well as calling people terrorists for filming. The change in posture is noticeably different after the reaction to Good. Even if you think the officer is innocent in that situation, you absolutely don't say shit like that unless you're trying to escalate violence. It's simple psychology, and Vance isn't an idiot. In Minnesota, it is illegal to carry a pistol (concealed or otherwise) without having both your permit to carry card and a valid form of government-issued photo identification in your immediate possession. In years past, ICE candidates were required to undergo five months of training; the Trump administration lowered the training regimen to just eight weeks. (Which is widely rumored to be 47 days of actual training…in honor of the 47th President Donald Trump). They also lowered the candidate age requirement from 21-40 years old to just 18+….thus allowing candidates to come straight out of high school and become a federal ICE agent just 8 weeks later.
