Speaking of hobo hair and missing something...       Seriously... how gutted must Colts fans feel these days after looking like a juggernaut earlier in the year?

All the talk about the ridiculous Travis Hunter trade and the haul the Browns got glosses over the fact the Browns got a stud player with their top draft pick. Jags would have been ten times better of

Crazy that the Vikings won today with 3 net passing yards.

Don't know if its just pure bad luck or partly due to meathead Dan Campbell's ultra physical approach but this was another season where the overwhelming defensive injury toll just killed the Lion's season.

A fan sitting just a couple seats away captured the entire DK Metcalf exchange, including the 10-15 seconds of banter before Metcalf walked over to wall and engaged with the guy.

Personally, I don’t hear  in this clip that sounds even remotely like what DK is claiming was said.   (Which might explain why he got a 2-game suspension).

Losing Ben Johnson was a real blow to the Lions this year. And clearly a huge boost for the Bears.

Myth

Lions had injuries across the board to playmakers all year. Bears have a very talented roster, and the QB needed to learn it’s better to pass it 2 yards than take a 10 yard sack trying to throw it 20

This probably won’t register for most people but the state of Kansas gave it up to get the Chiefs to move there.

1.8 Billion in public funding for the stadium.  Chiefs get to keep 100% of revenue.

They pay 7 million a year to the state of Kansas for “rent”.  But that gets stuck into a fund where the Chiefs can choose to use the money for whatever they want that’s stadium related . The state of Kansas doesn’t get that money at all.

Counterpoint: Dan Campbell took playcalling responsibility away from the new OC this season

That part probably is less important than it sounds. It’s standard for the state/metro government to be financially responsible for repairs and upgrades of the stadium so the rent is just going into a fund for that.

But Kansas is stupid to put themselves on the hook for all that money to fund the billionaire Hunt family’s business.

Largely the argument is that it builds up a tax base around the new stadium. More people in local hotels, more people in bars, more people in the venues around the stadium before and after games.

But the math still says it’s a money loser for whoever pays.

Im sure. The only reason the titans deal wasnt bad is most of the cost is on visitors.

They make up all kinds of nonsense to try and sell these deals. Like I said earlier when this came out. Idk if its stupidity or corruption but its bad most of the time. Hell, quite offten your average american who is an idiot can tell you when the people are being screwed by these deals. Corporate wellfare is just insane.

I cant remember who suggested it but instead of giving companies tax breaks for hiring people on goverment assistance, they should have to pay extra in taxes since they wont pay these people a living wage. Make the hours required for large employers to have to give their employees health care like 21 hours while we are at it so you can tell who the real shitbag employers are.
