Immigrants(even illegals) pay taxes, a lot of wealthy people don't! or a tiny fraction

And some immigrants receive no benefits from their taxes.  The social security trust fund is an example.

There is truth on both sides of this discussion.    Yes a person can still succeed in the US. You can get out there, hustle and improve your financial situation and thrive. @Justafan is 100%

I get it that some people struggle.  But for the average working person, here's my second suggestion.....pay yourself automatically and first out of each paycheck into that stock index fund, even if i

I saw a few years back the SS fund benefited from 62 bill in illegals contributing but not getting benefits

They don't want people educated on finance. They want people spending. The economy is 70% consumption based. Did anyone see Howard Lutnick praising the fact that credit card debt was at an all time high? People said he was an idiot for saying that because people are in credit card debt because they can't afford daily expenses. But he knew what he was saying. As long as people are spending, even if it's debt(especially debt) profits go up and the markets go up.

The project 2025 guys, Vance, Peter Thiel etc... were preaching a higher birth rate. Bashing single childless cat ladies! They want more workers and more consumers.

A smaller population means a smaller consumer base, reducing demand for goods and services. This impacts businesses, especially those that rely on large customer pools, such as retail, housing, and healthcare industries. With fewer people entering the job market, there’s less spending and investment, which can result in lower growth and productivity.

Ofc they love debt. It means the money has to keep flowing and you are paying more for everything.

There was a Floyd Mayweather thread but it's so old it was archived. This dude was buying multiple 1 mill+ watches and spending money like no one. I knew he'd go bankrupt. He might be the all time example now

His spending is legendary. He bought like an 18 million dollar watch, had 100+ expensive cars, 3 mansions.... he carried around millions in cash

The thought process of these people is intriguing to say the least. Was it just an addiction to shiny shit? Or is it simply the he is wearing the same shit he had on monday syndrome turned up to 11?

It's not that hard to put some money every month in an S & P index fund and average 11% annually over the long term.

Exactly. Excuses will be made and people will come up with all kinds of reasons why that's for other people and not them but the truth is, in America, literally anyone without a disability can do it. The bar is essentially don't become a single parent in your teens, have a job, don't have a disability. Janitors have become millionaires in America.

The guy in Pursuit of Happyness could tell you all about that.

I think a lot of people have had that kind of will and drive beaten out of them though. There’s a lot of fucking despair in this country. And all they keep hearing is how AI is coming to take everyone's jobs.

It feels like there's an unseen force pissing and shitting all over everything.

What I don’t understand is even if he sells this shit for pennies on the dollar there should be a lot of value. The gambling was probably it. Unless he literally never paid a single month on the loans for the houses & yachts.
