Jamalisms
She'll likely outlive them because she's not important enough or on the front lines of battle. But she's certainly lesser than the leader of the battle against Night Walkers who was resurrected from the dead, the three eyed raven who can see all things across all time all at once and who, btw, can possess the minds of others... and a face-changing assassin who already wiped out the entire Frey line and who just matched, in hand to hand combat, the best fighter of Westeros. Some fans do love her and project her to a better-than-Littlefinger status, though.

I wouldn't put it past the show to go that route, though, as you've explained how things don't need much setup to advance the plot. Book Sansa started to show signs of ... being interesting... in her last chapter.

Book Sansa is still at the Eyrie shortly after Lysa died. And she didn't even do the whole power move reveal to save LF. He saved himself. She's still his fake niece. Jonboy
I have a different take on Sansa watching Arya and Brienne than most, I think. At first I saw the expected surprise and a little bit of fear, but then - just before she walks away - almost something like triumph. As in, "no one is going to screw over the Starks anymore." It was almost like she was thinking through all the possibilities of how having an assassin for a sister could come in handy. I'm down with some fanservice if it results in Starks wrecking people's shit.
reo
http://nerdist.com/game-of-thrones-littlefinger-dagger-bran-plot-against-jon-snow/ This actually does a pretty good job of saying my thoughts on the matter of Littlefinger. In the end I think he can manipulate Jon. He doesn't care too much about Arya or Bran. It'll be Sansa that does him in. I think she plays along bc he needs her and she knows it. Bran will tell Jon who he is and Jon will step down. Sansa will be the Lady of Winterfell and he'll think he's won and will try to marry Sansa. But Sansa will surprise him and that will be the end of littlefinger. Haven't figured out the specifics yet but those are the basics. I also think it's a very real possibility that Sansa decides to marry Tyrion possibly instead of Littlefinger.

I like the analysis but it hinges on a very weak point: Jon being king does not rely on the absence of Bran. Sansa has the stronger claim over Jon by her being legitimate. The lords of the North proclaimed Jon king over Sansa. Bran being there doesn't (or at least shouldn't) change matters. Bran is the eldest living male Stark. Goes to him before Sansa or Jon. Sansa does have the better claim than Jon but she decided last season, iirc, that it should be Jon instead. Theoretically if Littlefinger could turn Sansa against Jon, she could change her mind and take over. So far she has backed Jon and I think she'll continue to do so. I don't know how "backsies" work in Westeros (show or book versions), but Bran has (unofficially) renounced his claim and I don't see him changing his mind unless it helped save the world. I don't know which Northern houses would support Sansa over Jon if it came to this - perhaps those that want the lands of the Umbers and Karstarks; but again, the North proclaimed Jon king - Jon didn't ask for it. Now, I can see Jon doing shit that pisses off the North (getting them to march south to fight Cersei) and then there's a coup to support Sansa - but this specific theoretical example would be something Sansa is in favor of and wouldn't play out cleanly. Personally, I don't see it.

Personally, I don't see it. What are you arguing? I'm saying Bran has the best claim but he has renounced his claim. Sansa is the next in line. So far she has renounced her claim and backed Jon so there isn't a civil war. It then goes to Jon. Littlefinger will try to drive a wedge between Jon and Sansa so she goes for the throne. I do not think it will work. It seems like you agree.
CreepingDeath
Yes, then we do. I was arguing the article's point of the dagger somehow leading to a Jon/Bran split.
NashvilleNinja
In case it was missed in the last episode, because apparently it was, Bran is dead. Not in the physical sense, obviously. But in the metaphysical/spiritual sense he is no longer Bran. Or rather, he's no longer just Bran. In a way he's everyone now. It's why the guy doesn't frown or smile, doesn't laugh or get pissed. He's not stuck in the middle of those dichotomies anymore. The dichotomy he is stuck in now is between his broken body, in which he requires help from other people to even take a shit, and his wide open mind, which allows him to know pretty much everything about everyone ever and also allows him the ability to, I assume, eventually transport into a dragon's mind and fly all over the world. Needless to say, he's got more important shit to think about than being lord over northern farm lands. CreepingDeath
NashvilleNinja
At least that's what it seemed like they were saying in the last episode.
Starkiller
Bran has become the Three Eyed Raven. He isn't what he was any more. But we still don't know what that means. The last Three Eyed Raven was separated from humanity for 50 years. How much humanity did he have left sitting in that tree, watching and waiting?
