Any idea of the waiver wire claims process?  Specifically if a player is released right at the deadline, how much time do the Titans have before the #2 team can claim him?

I thought it worked every team put in their claims between when the guy is cut and the next waiver claim time. Whichever team highest in the order gets the guy.

The parts i dont know is when they move you down in the order. Like if you claim 3 players do you move from your current spot to the end of the order right then or at the end of the cycle. Or how the determine what order the players are claimed for said reordering the waiver order. Not that we would move to the back of the claim order.

It's a 24-hour window so the teams aren't rushed.

We drafted Morgan 16th overall. For a middle 1st round pick it's a double, if that. But for a guy we got 50th overall? To average around 6/7 sacks a game (Morgan's career avg) would be pretty close to a homerun. Maybe downgrade to a triple if not a homerun. If Femi can swing up and hit around 8 or 9 on avg that'd be a grand slam for his draft slot.

The problem with your calculus is that Morgan didn't provide the impact you're hoping to get when you spend a first round pick on a pass rusher. I think Landry is better than what Femi will become and I still don't consider that a home run. Maybe a triple.

I think Femi will be solid against the run because of his ILB play.  He certainly will set the edge but I doubt he gets much on his own.  Most of his wins will be leftovers from the other DL when the QB is flushed.

Calling it now

Either TJ Edwards, Dani Dennis-Sutton, or David Bailey will be our first rounder next year

Book it

I doubt one falls to 32.  🤣
