I don't follow college much and don't pay attention to the prospects until close to the draft.    Early on I fell in line with the talk of it being a terrible draft class for QBs. Terrible y

The Giants offered a haul and the Titans quit even listening. The NFL decision makers know.   I also think it's pretty funny it actually took a few miracles for the Titans to fall into the #

Mahomes played at Texas Tech. Allen played at Wyoming. Level of competition isn't as important as traits that translate to the pro game.

isnt he watching "food porn"  during that episode? He gets all excitede about Creme' Freche'

No - different episode.  That character has had the best career arc of all of them.

The episode where this thing comes from is a takeoff on the Grapes of Wrath and mocking people's addiction to the internet and porn.

There’s the window-dressing on Ward that gets you in the door. He’s a baller. He’s productive. He does a lot of things at a high level physically. But what his coaching staff does to him next is what Brian Callahan and company hopes will set him apart from the rest:

"...and either Mario (Cristobal), Shannon Dawson, somebody just looked over at the officials who you have working practice and told them ‘just call a hold. There wasn't one, but just call a hold. Let's just see what happens."

The Miami coaching staff was trying to push him mentally. They wanted to press his buttons in practice to see how he’d react in a game. Sometimes in football, like in life, you just get screwed over. How you react is what makes you a winner or a loser.

“He loses it for a second, because he knows good and well it was a bad call” Pate goes on. “But they just regroup, and they go score again, and then they call another phantom penalty to negate the score because they just want to see how he's going to react. And he loses it again, composes himself again. They go down there a third time. They call a third penalty on him. They re-rack it again, go down there, score.”

Cam was some combination of unphased and motivated by the injustice. It’s hard to say which is a more powerful element in his mind, but whatever it is, he makes it work. Not just in practice, but all over his college tape. It’s what his new NFL coaches saw in him that got them really juiced up.

You and I both know what's going to happen there.  The Patriots have a relatively easy schedule.  The talent base is better.  So the record will be better, possibly significantly, and it will be attributed to Vrabel.

You actually don't think Vrabel is a good coach?

Again, he has the highest winning percentage of any TITANS HC.

He is recognized by the NFL media services/podcasters/writers to be a very good coach.

He is the only Titans HC to ever win COY.

The guy's a damn good football coach.  The best one we have had since Jeff Fisher.

Vrable is almost fisher with a different personality. They both were to conservative and couldnt adjust as time went on. Neither are bad coaches but you can only lean on talent so long once your tricks get old and you never come up with anything new.

Mahomes.  Burrow.  That's all you need to know to understand why MV couldn't win those games.  I really think we had a shot in 19'.  Henry just gave out.  He had just played three tough games in a row to get them to the AFCCG.  In 21', Henry's foot was broke.  Tannehill couldn't run the kind of offense people seem to think Vrabel should have run.  Vrabel got max out of Tannehill.

JRob did a wonderful job getting Tannehill.  But you don't get a Burrow or a Mahomes for a late pick plus the team paying part the QB's salary.  Plus, you have to look at the organizational support that was given JRob.  Look back and compare it to championship teams front office's resources.

We are what we are.  Every so often, we luck up.  Look at the Eagles.  Andy Reid is in the group with a handful of other coaches in this century.  The Eagles ran him out of town.  They won the SB this year.  This was their second trip to the SB with a 2nd round draft pick.  You just can't cheap up and cut corners then expect to win big.

They are trying to do better now.  But don't look at JRob and Mike Vrabel without looking at the whole picture.

I literally said earlier in the thread that I think he's a good coach.

He’s only won 2 playoff games in his career as a coach. At best - the jury is still out

2 playoff wins in 6 years is not close to the best Titans coach.

2-5 in win or go home games and once again the ONLY reason Vrabel has a .003 edge in regular season win % is because of Fisher's 1994 interim coach record after replacing Pardee mid-season.

And if one is not a retard, he deserves a lot more blame for the game plan in the NE playoff win.  They barely won the game because of the overly conservative offensive plan.

The idea that AAS didn't give Robinson and Vrabel the resources and organization to succeed is one of your dumber takes and that's saying something.  LOL that your tard ass omits that Tannehill and his agent targeted the Titans, Robinson then wouldn't allow an open QB competition in 2019, and that Vrabel's record without Tannehill as his QB was horrific.

One more thing - Robinson actually passed up drafting Mahomes because he had Mariota and drafted Corey Davis at 5 instead.  Hindsight's 20/20 but everyone on here knows Robinson never even bothered to scout QB's or even bother addressing QB until Tannehill came to them.

Also not really sure what your point is with the Eagles or Reid.....They fired Reid after a long tenure where they had not had a winning season in 3 years nor won a playoff game in 5 years.....Not to mention Philly had made 3 times the SB's (won 2 of them) and won as many playoff games with Pederson and Sirianni in 9 combined seasons as Reid did in his entire 14 year stint in Philly.  Even in KC, Reid was 1-4 in the playoffs prior to Mahomes....
