Titans signed Xavier Restrepo (WR, Miami) as a UDFA

Curious to see what the contract terms are in terms of SB - would be another indicator of how the team feels.  That said, it's a no brainer to think the drafted guys in 4 have a better shot of sticking.

Being he is a 5th round pick I doubt he gets much more guranteed than the signing bonus which is from what Iv read basically fixed by his draft slot.

He might as well be a bonus draft pick, so I’m giving him his own thread   https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Xavier-Restrepo-WR-Miami

Brain: He's a UDFA. It's worth a shot and costs basically nothing. Probably never does anything and likely doesn't even make the 53.   HEART: STEAL OF CENTURY. WARD AND RESTREPO CANTON BOUND

Or they liked him but knew he'd go undrafted with that 40' time so why waste the pick if you don't have to.

Excuse or not, the game film is what it is. Those aren’t defensive linemen he's running with.

Most of his highlights are against ACC competition. You can choose to take Restrepo at his word

over what he timed but it’s borderline retarded for people to pretend like they can look at some highlight plays and pretend like they can see the difference between a 4.6 and 4.8 WR.

Why are we still talking about 40's? Teams have GPS data for all of these players, they know how fast he is.

So, all 32 teams had this info and still passed?

Restrepo's max speed was 20 mph, which would make the top 15-20 list of fastest ball carriers on next gen stats nearly every week.

No, my point is that all of the teams do have those times and none of them drafted Restrepo. He's slow.

We dot' have those to debate/discuss.. that's why we're talking 40's.

Oh!  Teams didn't draft him.. so he's slow.  Gotcha. Like Wes Welker....

Although Dike doesn’t have the biggest frame, he is faster than people give him credit for. The 6’0, 195-pound receiver clocked a 4.46 40-yard dash at Wisconsin and improved on his speed throughout Florida’s offseason workout program. Dike is up to a max velocity of 22 MPH and set his personal record several times this summer.

People are pointing out Jerry Rice ran a 4.7…

Yeah, people are going too far to justify their belief in his chances of making it.

It would be cool if he can be good but people are really reaching here lol.

If he really is so limited athletically the odds of him making the team are very low especially in the modern NFL where players are more athletic than in the past.

The chances are so low that people have to cite generational, really all time great, WRs lol.

Yep. Its a cool story and potentially an interesting one. But he went all the way undrafted for a reason.  I doubt it was just speed related.

I mean... if you ran a 40 time you know you're faster than and you know it's going to hurt your stock wouldn't you be trying to do some damage control? These guys are trying to get paid, after all. It doesn't mean the hamstring pull was a figment of his imagination.

I think if he would have done halfway decent on the 40' time and short area testing, he would have been drafted.  That was a massive red flag and honestly his explanation was illogical and probably didn't help.

Again - it would have been easier to buy if he had not followed up the testing stuff with a full workout with Ward and the other receivers with no limitations....It's like Mary telling Joseph she's pregnant through immaculate conception.  Hard to believe....
