They most definitely will be a modern twist on the classic Oilers uniform - columbia blue, red accent, and white.  Will honor the Oiler legacy while giving a big FU to the Texans and others trying to

Given how beautiful they are, it made perfect sense.  Also a giant FUCK YOU to the Texans and retard anti-Oiler Titans fans....

Because you're dying off, you geritol fuck. Like war vets reuniting every year. A couple less each year because you're all too fucking old.

I’m probably one of the youngest members of the board lol

I just hate that they basically said screw the navy blue this year. I think the light blue is nice once in awhile, but once it’s overused, it loses its appeal (ala Chargers powder blues).

It's perfectly balanced now, navy helmet, light blue jersey, white pants. It's easily their best home look. The real abomination is when they went all navy trying to be some weird Southeastern version of the seahawks while minimizing their most unique color. That was terrible.

Where my old timers at? The fuck is all this chatter above “I don’t want oilers colors”?

The fuck you mean, Oilers are iconic. You see Moon jerseys so frequently in media because it’s so iconic. Bring back the early 90s jerseys. Just need the Bucs to go back to the creamsicles.

Because if you actually think about it, it's fucking retarded to try and rehabilitate some identity from another city that you played in 30 years ago.  Two-tone blue is the way.

Revive. The word you want is revive not rehabilitate. The other word you want is brand. It’s the brand not the identity.

From a business standpoint it’s absolutely retarded to keep the Titans brand. It would be like if RC Cola had the ability to become Coke but refused lol.

Hahaha yes just remove the Titans brand that has been used in the Nashville market you have played in for almost 30 years and the one you'll play in for the foreseeable future.  The brand that you have made the Super Bowl and several AFC titles in and have had more success with than the Oilers ever had in their old market.

Nostalgia is a funny thing. In small doses it's great to remember the past. People like the old stuff in small doses but if the Titans went with some Oilers inspired look or the Bucs went creamsicle full time, it would get old super fast. In their time, these uniforms were made fun of relentlessly. Now they're cool.....but only in small doses.

There will be a day coming in probably 5 to 10 years where people will clamor to see the original McNair era Titans uni as an alternate. People will go crazy for it because people love nostalgia in small doses.

I have zero nostalgia for the Oilers. The branding for the Oilers is just superior. Clean, timeless logo and a uniform that separates itself from the endless sea of navy blue.

Titans branding is somehow bloated while being boring.

Idgaf about history’s of the teams. I just want the superior brand.

The funny thing is that very few would have this opinion(other than Oiler diehards) in the year 2000.  It's not a superior brand at all.

If you went to a sports bar on an NFL Sunday and ask John Q Football I would be shocked if more than 3/10 people chose titans branding.

The funny thing is that you accused me of my belief being centred around nostalgia when I think the reverse is the case. You mention how the Titans had more achievements, that’s nostalgia. Ask that question in 2025 not 2000. Ask people born after 1994ish to eliminate the supposed bias and be astounded at how many select Oilers.

I say we split the difference and rebrand to the Tennessee Exxons, gods of oil.

My guess is most people in a random sports bar would find it strange that fans of a team in Nashville would want their team to be called the Oilers instead of having something that was made for their city.  Most non-affiliated people tend to prefer the older version of every team's uniform, so I'd fully expect people to prefer the older Oilers jersey over the current Titans uniform. Personally I'd love the Titans uniform to be simpler with the same colors.

It's just funny that people can't accept things as they are. They're the Titans.  The point I was making with regard to the year 2000 is that everyone's perception is wildly different when things are going well. If the team was winning this wouldn't even be a conversation.  But the team is trash and so  everything about them is trash purely by proximity.

You mentioned the Bucs uniform and with time the creamsicle has become a classic. In its day the Bucs were frequently as bad as the Titans are now and everyone mocked the Bucs for their creamsicles. Now the Bucs wear them occasionally and suddenly it's some great uniform. I doubt many Bucs fans would trade the pewter and red full time for the creamsicles.  When the Oilers moved here, nobody talked about their great 'brand'. It was widely made fun of for the baby blue. It's not some great brand(well maybe for the city of Houston it is), it's just nostalgia.
