The dam has broken.  Massie was right.  Numerous House Republicans were going to vote for release of the files.

Trump saw the inevitable.  That's why he's completely reversed himself and now calling for the files to be  released as well.  Now at least he won't be embarrassed by the vote going heavily against him and accused of a coverup.

Trump has entered lame duck status

His ratings are completely in the tank.

And you see it right here on the board.  Posters who were celebrating a year, even 6 months ago,  are now completely MIA.  Refusing to comment or post because there is no defense for what he's done.

71% independents and 23% Republicans disapprove, those are shockingly low

36% overall approval rating.

Trump on the economy:

Approve 33%

Disapprove 67%

As I posted last week, his only way out of this economy is to back off the tariffs which he's now doing on over200 items.

October 2025 saw a dramatic spike in U.S. job cuts, with 153,074 layoffs announced—marking the highest October total in more than two decades. From technology giants to warehouse operators, companies across the country initiated sweeping reductions, leaving thousands of workers facing sudden unemployment and sparking widespread concern about the broader economic impact. As the scale of these layoffs reverberates through the workforce, both employees and consumers are bracing for the consequences and searching for answers about what triggered this historic wave.

If you read the article, as I've posted before, a lot of this is AI generated.  To be fair, Trump didn't cause this, but it's his to deal with.   This isn't  a cylical downturn in the economy. Interest rate cuts won't fix this. It's a structural change in the economy, structural unemployment, that will require new policies.

the orange shit-bag will pretend to support releasing Epstein files, while the DOJ will use the "part of an ongoing investigation"  excuse for not releasing them.

In reversal, Trump says House Republicans should vote to release Epstein files

It's very possible that the DOJ will  do the coverup.  That's what Andrew Weissman has speculated.

With Trump’s constant flip-flopping back and forth….the White House needs to start publishing a daily “POTUS Du Jour” tracker every morning so the world can know what new policies or tariffs Trump has declared for that day and which ones he’s suddenly backed off.

If we’re allowing US foreign and domestic policy and trade relations to dictated by the whims and wandering vagaries of an 80-year old’s dementia and cognitive decline..,the least we  can do is give people a way to keep track of it.
