A guy lost his life so the bullet was real enough. Or did they take that too? I saw where the guy brought in the cameras and they lowered the flag. It definitely has elements to it, but I can't get past the guy getting shot...because it would mean what that the gunmen was in on it the whole way? Haven't really seen anyone explain that aspect. Why would Trump care if someone got shot? He'd figure that would increase the believability. Not saying it was completely fake but that's not really a defense. Trump knew it was coming. And they put together the whole thing. It's a hell of a story. Edited May 2 by IsntLifeFunny Jamalisms

IsntLifeFunny
But to others, such moves have reinforced fears about the future direction of US politics. “America has increasingly careened into the veneer and visage and muzak of dictatorship,” says Curt Mills, executive director of The American Conservative magazine. “An opéra bouffe form of autocracy.” Damn Libtards have infiltrated the American Conservative magazine! https://archive.is/QFACP

You’re talking about taking someone worth $100B and leaving them with a paltry $75B to scrape by on. O the Humanity! Maga is now saying they are fine with paying for higher gas to "eliminate" Iran's nuclear capability. Talking points, sure. But ask them the sacrifice for our national debt, which should be viewed as a somewhat existential crisis, and they will tell you to shove it. I will say it over and over again until it is understood, Maga is first and foremost liars. They get their talking points and roll with it, but they will lie at the drop of a hat to support Trump. Evangelical Christians are his base support, and they are onboard with lying or doing whatever it takes to support this wealthy perverted immoral human. This will be studied for decades. How Evangelical Christians were so dupped by Trump, a certainly non-Christian, to defend him no matter what or by any means to defend him. And it will also be studied to duplicate it in the future. There's a sub-culture here that is focused on one thing....making this a Christian dominated country. While it is a minority, they've found out how to rally the normals to thier side. I would say dems need to get their shit together and work for the working class, but Biden did so as much as anyone in our generation to no avail. Honestly, I'm really not sure how or what to reach the general electorate is. Affordability, top of the list, if not the biggest issue. But addressing that to any degree would be government interference into the economy which isn't a seller. I think we're at the end of our empire. Dumbfucks has insured that. To their own detriment. But dumbfucks are easily mislead. And here we are. And I will say modern Dems have failed. I believe in progressive ideals, and while I was stuck in the old world about such ideals being unpopular, I'm okay with passing the torch. IF reasonably implemented. Republicans have been using white Christian nationalism for decades to drum up voters. It’s easy to appeal to them. Just blame blacks/gays/immigrants/trans/<insert other minority group here> for all of their/America’s problems. They loving having someone else they can blame. Evangelicals are inherently in a cult. It’s not hard for them to be in another. They were trained to be in the Trump cult (and Dubya before that to a lesser degree) long before Trump used them. The religious right has been all in on the Republican culture wars for decades. None of it benefits them but they are easy to control. Dominionists can’t be reasoned with as they think it’s all part of “god’s plan”.

IsntLifeFunny
The gutting of the Voting Rights Act singularly stands as reasoning to blow up the filibuster and pack the courts. The decision to say the US Constitution was supposed to be color blind when our country fought the Civil War over the fact it had to be amended to stop outright violence from the majority to the minority is an inversion of power that has to be fixed. Fuck Republicans. Seriously. Reading some of the text of that decision is mind numbing and infuriating. Tens of millions of blacks were killed in the transatlantic slave trade. Tens of millions of people if color were systematically disenfranchised. This did not stop after the bloodiest war in our history and with direct amendments to the Constitution for another 85 years until Hearts of Atlanta Hotel wound its way into precedent extending past the Commerce Clause and became the bedrock of Brown V Board of Education, which then stood side by side with the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Who would have known, guys, it was always the white majority who was being discriminated against! MadMax

nine
Last week, German Chancellor Fredrich Metz offered an opinion that the United States’ ongoing failures to re-open the Strait or reach a binding agreement with Iran puts the U.S. on the losing end of the current conflict. Trump responded by announcing that the US will be withdrawing thousands of troops currently stationed in Germany… followed by an announcement of a new 25% tariff on all EU-built automobiles. And Trump’s mind, these measures are direct retribution and punishment for the German chancellor’s criticism: new economic sanctions and also scaling back or removing US military protection for Germany. Trump is either ignorant or ignoring the fact that Germany is a major military hub that is very strategically and geographically advantageous for US military operations across all of EU and the Middle East. Scaling back or eliminating U.S. military operations in Germans significantly reduces the United States’ overall military presence in that part of the world and our ability to protect US interests. Trump is deliberately weakening US military strength in the eastern hemisphere…all because the German chancellor hurt Trump’s feelings by stating the obvious instead of supporting Trump’s narrative. Making America Great Again…by weakening America’s military. MadMax
