If the enemy does not immediately submit to all of our demands, we will once again do the same thing we’ve been doing for the past six months,  which has so far gained us nothing and gotten us nowhere while depleting our military stockpiles  and costing American taxpayers untold billions of dollars with absolutely nothing to show for it.

I read somewhere or another that sources in the Pentagon called these latest attacks "mowing the grass". Not a good sign of this ending anytime soon.

The funny thing about Levin is he was a Never Trumper and supported Cruz in the 2016 primaries. He said he'd never vote for Trump in a general election.  Just like we saw in all the Fox host text

We are at war with a president who can't even stay awake and a secretary of defense who was a former fox news talking head that has fired or forced out at 20 (and counting) of the top brass at the pentagon.  It's no wonder we don't have a strategy or a clear plan to end this war that was supposed to last only 3-4 weeks.

The top 3 people in the Army have all been dismissed and not refilled. It's a shit show.

They are purging anyone who tells them "no". The question is why? There are some unpleasant answers to that question as it pertains to the next 2 election cycles.

Trump has been cucked by Iran and no President has made the military look weaker

There’s no “look” about it;  Trump and Hegseth have actively compromised and weakened the United States position as the world’s strongest and most technologically advanced  military power.

Over the last 2-3 years the world has seen a massive seachange in the fundamental concept of warfare as we know it:    world superpowers with massive military forces and untold billions of dollars in highly advanced munitions and technology have been fought to a standstill by much smaller nations by way of  mass-produced drones that cost only $20-30K.

Thanks to cheap drone warfare, Russia is now very much in danger of  losing the war to Ukraine.  Meanwhile, the mighty United States military has lost the Strait of Hormuz to Iran and has been rendered powerless to re-open it…again due to cheap, mass-produced drone technology.

But instead of adapting and embracing these technological advances, Trump and Hegseth did the exact opposite,  disbanding a unit  that was specifically for the development of drone operations.

For the past hundred years or longer  the United States set the bar for new bleeding-edge military technology.   Instead of maintain this position,  Trump administration is doubling down on the U.S. military model from 20-30 years ago….a model that’s already being exposed as bloated, inefficient, and outdated by newer and  dramatically cheaper technology.

Making America Great Again, indeed.

Trump is trying to keep the shooting to a minimum prior to the midterms in an effort to avoid spiking the price of oil, inflation, bond yields and minimizing the damage to the stock market as a whole.  After the midterms, he won't be as constrained and that includes firing Hegseth as his fall guy.

The real danger here is that anyone in the military leadership who was in a position to say NO to Trump is being fired.

Making America Great Again…by firing the US military’s most experienced and knowledgeable leadership and replacing them with inexperienced sycophants whose primary qualification is their blind personal devotion to a declining and emotionally unstable 80-year old con man.    Even when placating him  compromises national security and goes against the United States’ best interests.
