Why did that pro-Russia party then eliminate $12M of debt Manafort owed them (not related to the $10M he owed a separate Russian oligarch? Why did Trump select Rex Tillerson, a man with a working relationship with Putin's government but no diplomatic experience, to run the State Department? Why did Trump lie about not having any business dealings in Russia when, in fact, he had been working for years to build a Trump Tower in Moscow? Why did Trump invite the Russian ambassador, foreign minister, and state run media crew into the Oval Office (and then didn’t report it)? Why did Trump refuse to enact economic sanctions against Russia as passed by Congress in response to the invasion of Crimea? Why did Trump move to repeal those sanctions against Russia? Why did Trump openly say he believed Putin over American intel agencies? Why did Trump pull us out of the Open Skies treaty that gave us military overflight access to Russia? I've befriended gangsters when I was in high school. Still friends with some of them to this day. They're not active anymore.
