In the business world, you can accept gifts below a certain amount because it would be unreasonable to think such a low amount could influence you. It doesn't take much to cross that dollar threshold

I don't get the obsession with Rachel Maddow.  There have been people like Rush Limbaugh doing even less factual programs for literally decades.

Rush Limbaugh was a political commentator.  Not a journalist. Opinion talk radio has a place in our society but journalists should be held to a higher standard.

Most of these commentators do report on stuff in occasion but mostly they depend on other existing reports instead of investigating themselves (or with their team) with raw material.

Rush was one of the first political commentators. What a guy... lol

The CDU (who will go into government with the social democrats) won the election

That is the party of Angela Merkel, who your type accused of being left wing!

They are considered moderate liberals.  I don't really care about that. Just wish they elected someone who's more independent.  Not another institutionalist.

Yes they did lol

Are you saying they didn't depend on the Dossier or are you saying that the Dossier was legit?

They didn’t do their reporting based on the Steele Dossier because it wasn’t considered reliable

Even the Republican-majority Senate Intelligence Committee published a report that agreed with the facts behind the Russia collusion back in 2020

Still waiting @Starkiller...

You know Russia collusion was a hoax. More info to come but everything they based their investigations on and wasted tax payer money on was fake. Doesn't piss you off just a little?

You've been reported fiction for over a year even though you so wanted it to be true with every bone in your body.

Similar thing happened to me with the whole weapons of mass destruction thing and Iraq. Bush, Cheney, and the CIA pisses me off to this day.

Limbaugh was a raging asshole, a coke addict, and is largely responsible for setting the stage for all the media sensationalism we see today.

Maddow reported on the Dossier more than once. Would have been better served reading "the Hobbit" and reporting on Bilbo Baggins.

Some of it was real, some of it was not, and some was unverified. Regardless, she admitted it wasn’t all true so what’s the problem?

Why did Trump's team coordinate with Wikileaks to release email information stolen by Russia?

I don't know. Maybe it benefitted them?

Why did the Russian government give material support to the Trump campaign during the election?

Maybe Putin wanted Trump to win?

Why did the Trump campaign meet with a lawyer from the Kremlin at Trump Tower?

The Russian lady said she had dirt on Hillary from what I can recall. She was bluffing and DT Jr and Kushner left the meeting when the realized she was wasting their time.

Why did Trump hire Paul Manafort, who worked for a pro-Putin party in Ukraine but had no recent background in American politics, to run his campaign?

I don't know Manafort's background but perhaps it would have been better for the United States to stay out of Ukrainian politics.  The west pretty much stage a coup to kick out President Yanukovych in Ukraine in 2014. Probably pissed off Putin a little bit.

Why did that pro-Russia party then eliminate $12M of debt Manafort owed them (not related to the $10M he owed a separate Russian oligarch?

Don't know.

Why did Trump select Rex Tillerson, a man with a working relationship with Putin's government but no diplomatic experience, to run the State Department?

Did he build it?

Why did Trump invite the Russian ambassador, foreign minister, and state run media crew into the Oval Office (and then didn’t report it)?

Is it protocol to report it?

Why did Trump refuse to enact economic sanctions against Russia as passed by Congress in response to the invasion of Crimea?

Why did Trump move to repeal those sanctions against Russia?

Maybe because he wasn't president when it happened?

Maybe because that would piss off Putin?

Perhaps, treating Putin with respect and honesty is a way of not pissing him off and an effective way of deterring him from invading Ukraine.

I think Putin's a gangster(not in a fantastized way).  I've befriended gangsters when I was in high school. Still friends with some of them to this day. They're not active anymore.  The ones I know are actually not total dicks if you treat them with respect. That's why I had my issues with some of you when I first stated posting. Forgot about the nature of the internet lol. Funny as hell when I think about it.

Why did Trump openly say he believed Putin over American intel agencies?

Because intel agencies are sketchy as hell.  Why is all the info on Trump's shooter still not disclosed? JFK, RFK, MLK, Epstein, Diddy? Weapons of mass destruction?

But at the end of the day, he's trolling. You expect your enemy to stab you in the back. You don't expect that from your own countrymen. A stranger and punch you and you'll recover but if you find out your wife's cheating, it will hit you like a ton of bricks.

Why did Trump pull us out of the Open Skies treaty that gave us military overflight access to Russia?

Because open skies is gayer than blue sky? Lol I don't know.  Maybe US didn't want foreign spy drones to surveil US soil.

Man... too many questions. I think you're baiting me. Sheesh.
