US forces could probably take over Russia in 24 to 48 hours - probably use drones to do it and expend no lives.  We should do so to get control over their nuclear weapons before the country implodes and they fall into the wrong hands.

I know this might be hard for you to hear, but I promise you that the U.S Invading countries is not always the way to go

You can't take over a country using drones. It takes hundreds of thousands of infantry. And it would take a lot longer than 24-48 hours - Russia is the largest country on Earth by land expanse.

Could also be Ukrainian or Russian anti-Putin groups killing Putin's associates. Or some combination. It’s hard to tell.

Let's hope it that, but...in 2021, the CIA admitted that they're losing "a troubling number of foreign informants."

"The cable highlighted the struggle the spy agency is having as it works to recruit spies around the world in difficult operating environments. In recent years, adversarial intelligence services in countries such as Russia, China, Iran and Pakistan have been hunting down the C.I.A.’s sources and in some cases turning them into double agents."

The only way the U.S. could "engage" Russia is by burning Moscow to a crisp like we did to end WW2.

It's either go big or stay home.

Let's be honest. Putin is pissed off and is looking for a fight w/ NATO.

Right now western countries are supplying Ukraine and he can't fight them directly so his new goal is to claim these territories are part of Russia to see if NATO blinks in their support for Ukraine. And if they don't, he uses it as an excuse to attack those countries directly. He can't back down from the war in Ukraine b/c then he looks weak and loses power. And he can't win as long as western countries are backing Ukraine. So he either makes them stop backing Ukraine (which he's failed to do) or he makes it so he can attack them directly.

aka shit is about to get real

"Putin is going "all in" to turn the Ukraine war into a conflict with NATO, an ally of the Russian president said ahead of referendums later this month on joining Russia in four occupied regions."

"An immediate referendum—it is a Crimean scenario, and it's all-in," wrote Simonyan, referring to the annexation of Crimea following a referendum that had been criticized by U.S. and EU officials as illegitimate

"Today a referendum, tomorrow—recognition as part of the Russian Federation, the day after tomorrow—strikes on the territory of Russia will become a full-fledged war between Ukraine and NATO with Russia, untying Russia's hands in all respects," she wrote.

Simonyan added: "If I understand correctly, now referendums will be demanded not only in the LPR."

Also of note:

Launching a nuclear attack is a last-resort measure for Russia, and experts say the U.S. would be able to detect an attack before Putin decides to fire.

Hans Kristensen, the director of the nuclear information project at Federation of American Scientists, told Newsweek that Putin could move quicker with long-range weapons, which are already on high alert, rather than short-range ones, which Russia would have to bring out of central storage.

The intelligence community detecting activity at storage sites where warheads would be loaded to trucks and helicopters, or increased activity among specially trained units that can handle those weapons, would indicate Putin is preparing to strike with short-range weapons.

On the other hand, the use of long-range weapons could be anticipated if land-based mobile launchers, missile submarines or cruise missiles are being moved in greater numbers than normal.

"There would, as part of this, also be a number of detectable activities in the nuclear command and control system and general communication that indicated something was up," Kristensen said.

I don’t think he’s looking for a fight with NATO, he can’t even beat Ukraine. He just wants to keep NATO out of the fight so he’s acting like he might use nukes. Classic madman theory tactics.

Yeah but like 3/4 of the country doesnt even care that they are russian. .. they are also just too damn far and disconnected to get politically involved.

and now if they are smart enough to notice... they'll see that most of the people forced to go to war are on the outskirts and ethnic.

so the extents of russia are being even less defended because they will kill of their men.

Don't underestimate the extremes Putin would be willing to go to.

If he's going down I'm 100% certain he'd be happy to take Russia and as much of the rest of the world down with him as he could.

And as of now I don't see a scenario where Putin doesn't go down.

He 100% is going to come up against NATO eventually. That's the reason NATO is trying to stop him in Ukraine b/c they know he won't stop in Ukraine and will keep going once/if he is done there. His goals are beyond Ukraine. The US knows this. That's why they're funding Ukraine so he doesn't get past them and pick a fight w/ NATO b/c they know he will do it.

So don't think for a second that he's not looking for a fight w/ NATO. If he wasn't, Ukraine wouldn't be getting the support they're getting.
