reo
I'm wondering if someone braver than he is smart might get pissed off enough to take out Prigozhin and try to finish the job. Maybe the nazi military leader of Wagner? That dude is supposedly pretty intelligent militarily though.

Prigozhin will be dead soon enough. Putin isn’t going to just let him survive this. He's supposedly tried and hasn't been able to.
Starkiller
What happens to all those guys in the military who sided with Wagner? They’ve got to be out buying life insurance right now…
TF_Titan
Putin went on national TV and called Prigozhin and Wagner traitors and accused them of treason. He can't just say "never mind" less than 24 hours later and expect to maintain credibility. Also not insignificantly Prigozhin came out and stated that the entire pretext for the Ukraine war was based on a lie. Whatever other consequences that will result, there has to be a major affect on the morale of soldiers in the trenches who no doubt have lost whatever confidence they had in their leadership. This shows that both Prigozhin and Putin are just scared of each other. It's chaos in Russia. They can't trust each other now. Prigozhin thinks he can do this and just go home? Someone in his ranks might take him out and finish the job. I know it’s a big downer but Prighozin never had a real chance at overthrowing Putin. He knew he was about to get slaughtered and cut a deal to save his money machine from getting absorbed into the military. Putin on the other hand is a complete laughing stock. Not only is Ukraine a disaster but he’s unable to contain factions within his own country. He was silent for hours, they in hiding as a mercenary force took over a major military command. Looks like he’s also making changes per Wagners demand…..the fighting and backstabbing will never end in Russia. The country is doomed and will remain in chaos even after Putin is long gone. It’s a bad outcome and the west needs a long term strategy to manage this begooode

Putin has been 100% exposed to Muscovite Russians as some combination of idiot, propagandist and weakling. From what I’ve read, Russians were fine with Putin’s kleptocracy and corruption as long as he projected domestic stability and strength. Given the last 15 months, the last 24 hours, he’s failed them miserably and the mistrust / anxiety will run rampant.
tgo
Here is one analyst’s take from yesterday. Could explain the FSB’s orders to allow Wagner through?
begooode
Hmmm. Seems like a lot of explaining. I don’t think those 7 aircraft shot down and the risk of concentrating all that military hardware on one freeway, pulling resources from their positions during a hot war can be easily rationalized away. Talking about gangs sorting shit out while multimillion dollar planes and choppers are being shot out of the sky, along with highly trained pilots, is ludicrous, imo.
