Every player on the team was signed, drafted, or extended by JRob. It literally doesn’t matter if it’s personnel or coaching. Robinson owns it from an accountability standpoint. I hope he owns it. For every fantastic move he makes, he shits the bed on the next. The proof is for all of us to see.

It’s still maddening how much they gashed the defense on the ground. The run defense was far more infuriating than the kicking today. Every fucking time it seemed like they'd get everything they needed yardage wise to keep drives moving. And against Carlos Hyde? Seriously? I have to believe that it stemmed from worry over the secondary. Hopkins, Fuller, and Stills pretty much had their way with the secondary but that was kinda expected, especially given our injuries. But the run defense was unforgiveable.

And I know that people are going to want to blame Firkser, or Succop, or maybe the defense for not being able to stop the Texans, or Mike Vrabel for a questionable fake punt, but what it comes down to is the Texans just made more plays than the Titans today. Yes, the Titans could have, probably should have scored on that one play with Firkser. Well, Watson threw two picks at or very close to the end zone. I thought the Titans fought today but defensively they just didn't have the horses. They missed Jackson badly, Butler too and in this league when you're without two of your biggest players in the secondary, particularly at cornerback, it's very difficult to beat high level passing games. I'm sure if the Texans had lost their fans would have been saying why the hell did Watson try to throw it over two defenders in the end zone? These things go back and forth. But, again, it was clear to me at least that the Titans just had no hope of stopping the Texans at all today. It's really amazing that they only scored 24 to be honest. And I can't say enough for how Tannehill played. While in this league you're going to lose some games I think Tannehill did everything he could to keep them in the game. I was more impressed with him today than in almost any other game because of how he battled back. Thanks for this thread. I was getting ready to post something similar. I'm more excited about this Titans team than any in a long time. This team plays at an intensity level I haven't seen since the McNair/Eddie years. The Texans are division leaders and they grabbed two of Watson's passes. You already pointed out that we have two starting CB missing. Tannehill was great, but this team is a one-two punch. Henry is hurt and that's too much to lose from this offense. I am excited for the future. We started 2-4, that's when we lost the season and a legitimate chance to make the playoffs. We had to go 9-1, 8-2 minimum to make the playoffs. The great thing is this team did enough to have us believe they could. What kind of team could even do that? A championship team! That is what we have. JRob has packed this roster with guys who can compete at the highest level. We are going to add(another RB) more talent next year. JRob hired an excellent coach who has this team understanding how to play. He has them inspired to play at an elite level. The other coach JRob hired is the HC of the GBP. There is already starting to be way too much criticism leveled at the best team, coach and GM we have had since the Jeff and Floyd Titans. I guess you can't have message boards without the yin and yang, but please don't miss the beauty of the big picture.
No1TitansFan
The Firkser fumble/int killed us, and our depleted secondary couldn't stop Hopkins/Fuller, especially down the stretch; not the first time that's happened. On a positive note, our 1st round pick made a game changing play on the tipped ball on the goal line; it probably would have been over much sooner if not for that play. The kicking situation is perplexing, he's 9 for 9 on xps the last 2 weeks and has actually looked decent on almost all of them, but that fg attempt was way low. AussieTitanFan08
With the Bills getting their 10th win in 2019 today the Titans now hold the 2nd longest streak of not recording a 10 win season at 10 years, only the Browns at 12 years have a longer streak of not winning 10 games in a season. Oilertattoo
This piss poor kicking situation is the single biggest issue. Yes the staff went to Tannehill too late, but the lack of being able to kick a damn field goal has put pressure on the team to be near perfect in execution, which is impossible. It has cost us a few games, including yesterday. Titans should be controlling the division right now. Wonder what Ian Howfield is doing.
IrishTitansFan
The firkser drop kind of reminds me of 2011 vs the Saints when Mariani dropped a pass in the endzone from Locker toward the end of the game

That one's not nearly as bad as the fact that the only teams who have gone longer without winning a division than the Titans are the Bills, Jets, Browns, Lions and Buccaneers. And the Dolphins are tied with them. You'd think that with only four teams in a division they'd run into one one of these years. Not winning 10 games is just a number. At least the Titans have been to the playoffs and even won a playoff game in recent years. Cleveland, Detroit, Buffalo and Cincinnati haven't won a playoff game this century, Miami hasn't won one since 2000, Oakland/Tampa Bay haven't won one since 2002 and Washington since 2005. Alcibiades
I could name at least 8 teams whose fans would trade with us, including the Jags in our own division. It was a flukey game, and our team battled back and almost pulled it off. Our first half just killed us, basically on one play. That one play was a huge swing. It is what it is, and we still have a chance to sneak into the playoffs. If we don't, though, we won't look back at this game per se. We'll look at those first 6. Guarantee Tanny and co. would have won at least one of those 4 games we lost. People who are blaming Robinson are just out of touch, though. WTF?
