Mularkey isn't saying aything because speaking out isn’t going to help him. Anything he says could just turn off any future employer. What’s he going to say new that would help himself?

Interesting. I actually think he comes off worse to future employers by not saying anything.

I'd say speaking up before he was fired already hurt him. What he said at his last few press conferences included basically calling out ownership and the front office. Speaking up makes other potential employers leery. Teams want coaches who don’t make waves.

I still can't get over the fact this dude threw away a HC job to stay loyal to fucking Terry Robiskie...it's just bewildering a guy with as much NFL experience as MM has would choose to tie his fortunes to that sinking boat.  Some of y'all here called that happening...not sure how you saw it coming, but you did.

It's definitely kind of classless not to say something after his departure.  Even just a simple thanks to the fans and players for a fun ride.  The dude obviously has an enormous ego and I'm glad we're rid of him.

I thought it was odd too. No presser after the fact either at least thanking the fans. But honestly, he must have known when he took over as interim coach that his days were numbered anyways. Being stubborn never plays out in this business. Just ask Munchak and Whisenhunt..

But what does it say when there is a discussion about him that's forced?

This thread should be titled "I miss hearing about and from Mularkey".

Totally unnecessary.

Of course Jake chooses to side with the fired head coach who is acting like a classless, bitch.

Here's a question; is Mularkey still as bitter about his firing as Jake is ?

He doesn’t have to bash the Titans organization. I’m kinda surprise he didn’t come out with a “I really enjoyed the opportunity and had a lot of fun. Wish all the players the best of luck” comment. That wouldn’t make negative waves.

In the very least - - the very least,

rift or not, animosity, discord, strife, strained internal relationships, or not -

what you will do is thank the fans for all they did for you, the franchise under your reign.

but you know what - he probably felt, if he had to come out and say that, he would have to at least thank the org. - which, if my theory is right,

he 100 did NOT want to do that. under zero circumstances, which speak to how bad things were. They had to be bad, because, you're getting paid and Amy

gave you the opportunity in the first place, when nobody wanted you, she stood by you, so in the very least, you thank her, you thank the fans. But, he was about him

and his guys. So when she terminated him...he act like it wasn't a business - but personal, which totally leads me to the likelihood, of him and Jon were adam and cain 2.0

and he put the two of them, jon and amy as folk against him instead of looking at this as a business and moving on. No one in their right football mind could think TB

had a great year. No one. But MM. and that's some serious pride and blind loyalty. I wish him well - but so thrilled bout the new era of the Titans. One we have never had before. the potential for our QB to open it up. crazy! it took long enough for this founding season ticket holder.

He has already done plenty to turn them off.  The man runs into 8 man stacked boxes and blames the lack of success on the players.  The league is moving away from dumb stubborn old school coaches, or at least teams outside of Cincinnati and Green Bay are.

He's the only fired head coach who hasn't made a statement. This thread is far from forced.
