I didn't like this choice a few days ago, but @oldschool and a few others talked me into it. So, now I'm fine with it. And yes, I'm serious, not being sarcastic. I had some doubts, and people answered them pretty well. I still think he's inexperienced, but he's fiery, and players seem to love him. He knows the game, and if gets the right coordinators, he'll be great.

The screaming and yelling part is concerning. Millennials are soft and dont like that approach. I guess its all about the OC now. If its Haley I'll be pissed.

How is this a sham hiring?  Of all the available coaches out there Vrabel was JRob's pick.  A sham would be spending weeks talking to a bunch of guys JRob had no intention of hiring.

Mularkey was our pick last time too. I think we should've interviewed more guys.

Mularkey was AAS' pick. It sure as hell wasn't JRobs. That was obvious from the get go that whoever took the job was going to be saddled with Mularkey.

Hmmm...he used to play some offensive snaps for both NE and KC so I’m hoping that gives him more perspective on that side of the ball. Right now I’m more meh...doesn’t inspire me, maybe he’ll inspire the locker room.

If I were a betting man, I’d put money on LeFleur as OC and Romeo Crennel as DC.

But it’ll be exciting to see how it plays out.

I’d love Crennel as DC but my money is the Texans just give him that spot back. Makes too much sense.

I have a weird feeling he may kee DLB

Wow. Only interviewed 3. Vrabel must have been the guy all along.

Lets see see who he picks as coordinators.

This. He apparently always knew who he wanted.  If there was any real doubt or search they would have waited to look at some of the guys in the playoffs.  Wilks was a rooney rule look.   Rams OC to get ideas.. maybe feel out an OC... but it looks like it was always Vrabel.

Yeah, but I don't think the players really mind that too much. Almost all of the have had a guy like that in their coaching past. He's pretty much the opposite of Munch, then...at least he'll be upset when he should be :)

That's true. But I think we should've interviewed more candidates which is my point. Feels like Vrabel was JR guy all along and it was not a real search just like last time. I sure hope JR is right.

This is the coach Robinson is married to and I support his decision. I would rather get a guy a year early than a year too late if it is the right fit. One of the key elements that Vrabel understands and respects is flexibility and innovation. Cannot be understated.
