It was immediately evident that Forsberg has some seriously good skills but I don't even think Poile, in his wettest of wet dreams could have imagined just how good Fillip would become. The Preds have earned everyone's respect and they deserve to be here but beating the Pens in the finals will be an incredibly tall order. There are very fans who despise the Pens more than I do so I hope like hell the Preds have one more series in them.

You just knew the longer that game went on last night that they were going to find a way.

I'm astonished it went into OT. In terms of just who looked like they were going to win it wasn't even close besides a couple lucky bounces in front of the net for the Senators for chances. SuperFreak90
Anyone want to make predictions? I think the Preds win in 6.

The Preds have defied the odds from the start of the playoffs and they have played as well as anyone throughout, including Sid and ice ducks. If we get a win in the first game, I think 6 games is realistic. If not, it may go the distance.

wiscotitansfan
Hopefully Preds in 6 or 7 but I can't see it, if I were a betting man I would put money on the Pens in 5 or 6. If Rinne doesn't slow down at all though I will be completely wrong, he has been playing other worldly this postseason and easily the best player in the league the past month and a half. I have my fingers crossed and I know majority of Milwaukee is rooting for the Preds.

If he/they were back, probably 6-7. But I liked what Rexrode said in the Tennessean, that they should be glad they're playing the Pens not the Sens, so if they do win, there are zero asterisks. No Easy Path BS arguments to be made. And hockey is way more like baseball in that even an "inferior" team can win with a hot pitcher (kinda revered in hockey to be the goalie in Renne) and a couple lucky swings (or bounces of the puck....Preds certainly had some in the last game vs Ducks). So I'd bet on the Pens and hope I lose.

TampaTitan
Preds should be ready for the fast start in game 2, I'm sure the jitters got to 'em being the first timers. Once they settled down they looked great. I'd be surprised if this didn't go 7.
